The Dance

The performances were all so good.
I watched as it was finally Lisa's turn to take the stage. Her outfit was one with glitter but not too much, just the right amount. I did not know she could sing that well. I've heard her rap and dance but never sing. It sounded really good.

I looked over at my "date". She smiled at me and I smiled back before I noticed that Lisa's performance ended. I waved and cheered loudly. I was proud of her.

My friends and I the stage and we broke it (not literally). Everyone was cheering and they loved it. Some even asked for my friends' autographs. Overdramatic.

I walked over to the girl.

She smiled at me and told me that I did great. I saw Lisa cheering for us too and smiled.

"She's your friend right? She's the one that gave me the courage to ask you to the dance," I heard someone spoke. I just stared at her. Why would Lisa ask her to ask me to the dance.

Didn't we have a promise that stated that we would ask each other to the dance if we did not have a partner?

Well, I do have a date now but I just thought that maybe Lisa did not like me.

Jennie scoffed as she walked past us.
