Chapter 3: Old Friends Come Face to Face

"BANG! BANG! BANG!"

"Who wants to go surfing?" Aionis asked banging two pots together waking up everyone in the house (since when did he wake up early😒).

"As long as you will SHUT UP!" I yelled while covering my head with a pillow. I could wake up in the morning but only between 9 am - 1 am. Everyone slowly dragged themselves out of bed, and went to the kitchen where pancakes, fruit, apple juice (because Jayla, Arik, and I hate orange juice), bacon, and turkey bacon sat neatly on the table. "Since when did Aionis know how to cook?" Jayla asked very hesitant about the food. "I taught him," I said very proud that I did. I taught him how to cook 2 years ago when I met his dad in 8th grade. "But Amber, you can't cook," Nzinga's smart ass said. "For your information I was taught by my mom in 7th grade when I had to cook for myself!" I yelled at her feeling a little intimidated by how much they done thought much of me. We all sat down and ate. After breakfast we all went to our rooms to get dressed. After that we were on our way.

We arrived at the beach and went to the surfing hut. The line was shorter than usual. All of a sudden we heard a familiar voice. "IN MY C - A - D - I - L - L - A - C BITCH!" "BIATCH!" I yelled realizing who that familiar voice belong to. I knew only one person who would be singing a Macklemore song from 2013. It was our two friends from middle school, Diluchi and Keyonna. Jayla, Nzinga, and I ran up to hug them with Aionis and Arik trailing behind. Finally Arik and Aionis caught up to us. We all stared at each other awkwardly. "Hey lets go surfing together!" I broke the silence and everyone agreed. Jayla stayed in the gift shop while we ran in the water. I padded in the water and got some good waves. Aionis and I learned how to surf the summer before 9th grade. After a good 3 hours we invited them over for dinner.

We went home and took showers. I joined Aionis in the kitchen. I yelled throughout the house, "What do yall want for dinner?" "Assorted Sushi! Your sushi balls are awesome!" I knew that was Jayla. I ran to the kitchen and open the fridge and freezer. Thank god for pre-stocked kitchens. I grabbed the salmon, rice, crab, ginger, and other stuff. We heard the doorbell ring and Arik went to get it.
