-----------------------------------------------------------
A gust of cold wind blew through the classroom, fanning my hair out and sending dry leaves fluttering to the ground. I kept my eyes straight, enjoying the wind. Everyone in the classroom was chatting, giggles and noises everywhere.
A crowd surrounded my desk asking me numerous times about my summer vacation, I refastened my pin up to my hair. My chance of escaping popularity came rushing back to me the second I came back, I wish I wasn't popular.
I glanced at the crowd before me, I smiled knowingly and answered each of their questions with confidence. I prayed for the bell to ring, minutes passed, seconds passed.
Ring!-
I let out a sigh of relief, the paparazzi crowd rushed back to their assigned seats finally leaving me alone. The professor stepped into the classroom and began his never ending lecture about World History.
I rummaged through my bag to get my notebook and pen, I started taking notes. His lecture stopped by a knock on the door and I stopped writing, I stared at the last line I had written and then shook my head.
I didn't bother looking up to see who was at the door, the pen in my hand was hovering over the small notebook with the velvet cover, thinking why the teacher was taking so long to continue his lecture.
I was aiming for honors this year so I needed to focus real hard, I impatiently waited for my teacher to start the lecture again, I finally looked up and my breath caught, a student- no, an attractive man was at the door talking to the professor.
I took a closer look at the new student, he had a lean, flat-muscled body. Faded jeans he and a leather jacket of unusual cut. His hair was long, straight- and dark, a dark- pitch black almost.
He wasn't tall though. Just average height. I let out a breath, the attractive boy stepped in the classroom and I had a perfect view of him.
The dark hair framed features so fine that they might have been taken from an old Roman coin or medal-lion. High cheekbones, classical straight nose, red eyes...thought. The upper lip was beautifully sculpted, a little sensitive, a whole lot sensual.
The chatter of girls in the classroom had stopped as if someone had thrown a switch. Most of them were turning away from the boys now, not looking anywhere but at him.
His red eyes scanned the classroom and at everyone and his eyes soon landed on me, I held my place by the window and gave a little toss to my head, pulling the pin out of my hair so my bangs fell loose on my face. I kept my head down low, something about the way he looks at me just gave me familiar shivers down my spine.
"Would you like to introduce yourself?" the professor asked him, I kept my head down not wanting to make eye contact with him, his eyes were red. Almost to real to be contacts, unique and inhuman.
"Alright well, hello everybody, my name's Ace Smallwood and i'm a new student here at Fallen's high school. I'm looking forward to make a lot of friends and being welcomed." his extremely attractive voice rang in my ears, his voice... Australian accent yet familiar. It was a voice that could make any girl swoon over him. But his name...like a tug to my heart. I don't even know why.
