The Day It Begun

I couldn't wait for the school to end. I was going to graduate from high school in 3 weeks anyway. But today was special. Today was the day I was going to build up my courage to do the thing I wanted to do for a long time. Ask my crush out. Even though I wasn't the shyest guy out there on situations like these I really mess up. Badly. I am a young adult you could say, who spends most of his time on his computer with his friends. Suprisingly enough I wasn't fat really much and I can count on my arms. I always prepared for a zombie apocalypse secretly. Always had a plan with my brother who just had a birthday, he is 28 now. Even though I'm a coward I think I can live in an apoclaypse. More than a lot of people, anyway. So I spent nearly all night trying to not screw this thing up. She was the most beautiful girl in the class and I learned that she will go to the same university with me. "I'm one lucky bastard." I thought to myself. So I woke up and had some bacons and eggs. My best friend was a little shorter than me and he was really fast. It was our break time and my only chance to do this because I never felt more confident. Something really boosted my mood. This was it. Now or never. Alright. My best friend, Adrian was helping me.  He was yelling "Do this, Jean!" and stuff. So I went next to her. Laura. My God was she beautiful. I said "Laura. I HAVE to ask you something. Will you be my girlfriend? My..my.. love. I want you to be the first beauty I want to think about when I wake up." I thought to myself "What have I done?!" I turned into a goddamn tomato. That confidence was just..gone. That's when I turned into the happiest guy. She hugged me really hard and kissed my cheek shyly. Everybody seen this, mostly my friends actually, was cheering for me. I was glad I got that sorted out. So when school ended and everyone got home I texted her and checked on her every minute. I didn't have anything to do apart from messaging and talking to her. So I opened the news. I couldn't believe what I saw. Reports of "unusual behavior". Reports of biting, scratching people. I knew this was a zombie apocalypse. I knew I had to prepare. So I got my baseball bat that was lying around. I lived with my brother because dad was on a businness trip. And mom took grandma to a kind of an holiday. She was really old and needed to relax. So I yelled to my brother, who came in really fast to the living room. I knew Laura and Adrian lived really close so I can get both of them to safety. Even though Laura was really beautiful, she pretty much was on her own in school and other girls were jealous of her, badly. Only I and Adrian talked to her. They were close friends and I knew Adrian wouldn't try anything. I texted both of them about these "zombies".  At 11:53 PM I looked at the news again news said schools were closed tomorrow as a precaution. I talked to my brother and asked him if I could call my friend over. He understood I meant Adrian so he let me. So tomorrow at 12:11 or something he came to my house running really fast. I knew we couldn't order anything so we made sandwiches and went to play some horror games. Why? Even we didn't know. I texted Laura every minute to check if she's okay.  Then a I received a shocking message. It said "Jean..help..please."
