Do you think turkey meat makes you sleepy? Maybe for when a turkey trips over another turkey when running from predators that turkey can be eaten and make that predator fall asleep in order for the other turkey to getaway. It's weird I know, but animals are weird as are people yet animals can be oddly easier to understand at times than people.

Nicole hastily parks her car as her mind is clouded with a typhoon of mixed emotion so much, Elisa had to be the one to remind her to turn the car off. Wasting no time for even a simple hello, both girls rush up to the floor and room Nicole's mother was in; practically running one another over when they slam open the door at the sight of a moving and active Nadia.

"Nici! Lisa! So nice to see you two."

Nadia quickly makes her way to the two friends, despite the nurse's protest, as she embraces them in her thin wrinkled arms. Wordlessly, Nicole and Elisa return the gesture, still in shock, at this seemingly wonderful miracle. Nicole spoke first as she holds on to her mother tighter and rests her chin on the crook of her neck.

"Hey, mom."

Nicole knew who was responsible and that this mostly came at a twisted cost she would come to regret later, but dammit it all! Nicole has waited for this moment for so long, every day and hour of labor and shady business practices seemed to pale in comparison to her mother's embrace.

Elisa notices her friend's teary eyes and couldn't help the few coming up to her eyes before wiping them away. She allows herself a few more seconds to relish this moment before breaking away from her pseudo mom's embrace.

"What are you doing up, Nadia?"

It was an innocent question enough, yet Nadia clutches at her chest as if someone stabbed into her chest with a look matching a deer in headlights. She collapses yet Nicole immediately holds on to her as the nurses start gathering around her.

"IT"S COMING TOO FAST! Pain! PAIN! PAIN! Where's my daughter? Where's Elisa? NICI? PLEASE!"

"Mom? Mom! Mom! Mom! I'm right here? Both of us are right here!"

Nicole watches disheartened as her panicked mother is pried from her arms to be set on her hospital bed once more. Both her and Elisa stand by her bedside, helpless to do anything as the nurses, and eventual doctor, try calming her down and using sleeping medication. Nicole holds on to her mother's hand, almost crushing every bone in it, as she tries to reassure the distraught woman.

"I'm here. I'm here. Mom, I'm here. I'm right here."

Nicole reassures over and over as if it was a mantra, yet Elisa couldn't quite tell if it was for Nadia or Nicole herself. Elisa turns her head towards the door at the sound of it being opened, the very monster they were trying to get rid of in the first place.

"Is Nadia alright?"

Elisa's glares at the disguised creature, getting up from beside Nicole to march over to Demarest. She uses her body as a blockade with her fists by her sides and stance wide, she furrows her brows deeply with her pupils shrinking in size.

"Don't you dare call her that! You son of a b*tch! Don't you know when you're not wanted?!?"

Demarest holds up his hands as if I'm mocked surrender, the rest of the medical staff not paying attention to the sadistic smile spread across his face.

'Seems she's been informed about what's behind my facade.'

"If you want dear Nadia to stop suffering, I believe it would be in your best interest to let me take a look at her."

Elisa flinches slightly when he flashes his red eyes, yet stays strong as she seethes through her teeth.

"And why would I trust a being of pure evil to heal a sweet old lady?"
