"Dad your hilarious."

"I'm serious, the man is crazy." He said laughing.

We were talking about the pastor today. Today was his last day so church was pretty fun. My dad would officially be taking over next Sunday and I couldn't be more happier.

Christ was what my dad ate, slept, and breathed. He loved him dearly so growing up I had no choice but to do the same. & I couldn't wait to have a little family to teach everything I know.

"You cooking tonight Lo?"

"What do you want?"

"Fish and spaghetti."

"I know I can cook but I can't cook that good." I laughed knowing he wanted to cook a full course meal. "Why don't you just have Shirley come over? Your girlfriend."

"Girlfrinedddddd?"

"Stop playing. You know you like her."

"I do. She's a great woman. I don't know about a girlfriend tho. That's to soon."

"Dad.." I sat next to him getting ready to speak some facts into him.

"I know you miss mom, I also know it been only three years but you have to let go. Shirley loves you it seems like, you guys spend endless amount of time together and to think I really like her, that should be a green light because that was my mom that died and here I am wanting you to be happy again with another woman. That says so much dad."

"It's not even that I'm thinking about your mother, I just have respect for your mom. I had something so real and she gave me three big headed babies and I just wanna do right by her."

"And you have daddy. You raised me Tae great, and if Madison was still here she would be just as great. It's time to live for you. Mom lived for herself already, don't waste time for something that's not coming back."

"I guess your right. Go out. Have fun baby girl. I really understand you right now."

Smiling, I wasn't even trying to go anywhere but I most definitely wasn't going to waste this opportunity.

"I'm gonna call Shirley to come over."

"Alright."

Walking out I had August come get me from Doran the street.

"Hey daddy."

"Oh I earned the daddy card?"

"I mean that's what you be telling me to call you in bed right?"

"I guess you right." He laughed. "I gotta talk to you bout sum."

"What's up?"

"By chance have you told anyone about me and you?"

"No." I said. Knowing I told Maria I felt that she didn't count because she's my bestfriend. So if I say I'm not gonna tell anyone, she don't count the fuck.

"Well I was at the trap and some nigga mentioned yo name. And I know for a fact I ain't tell nobody."

"And you think I did?"

"Nah I'm just making sho. I'm not tryna get yo lul ass in trouble and I'm definitely not tryna get caught up wit da courts for messin wit a child. So I'm jus makin sure we on same page in terms of keeping us low for na."

"We definitely are."

"Good. What ya tryna do baybeh?"

"What is there to do?" I laughed. "Can't be seen with me."
