Steve felt awkward just sitting in the plane in complete and udder silence. Granted there probably was enough space in the jet so that they didn't have to see one another at all if they didn't want to, but that wasn't the point. The point was that they were on a mission, a friend's life was on the line. It was times like this where he and Tony needed to act like a team, or at the very least resemble one. The problem was that he and Tony weren't exactly on good term's right now. Hell, they were never actually on good term's to begin with.

"How long 'til we get there?"

"About 8-9 hour's, I'm guessing," answered Tony. Steve nodded and the silence, once again, reigned. Steve looked around miserably. He wondered is this is was it was like for Bruce and Natasha for their 10 hour flight.

"I saw you arguing with Pepper, not that I was eavesdropping or anything, but- Is everything okay between the two of you?" Tony snorted a short laugh.

"You're going to assist me with my love life?" Tony asked, wryly, an amused smirk very much prominent upon his lips. Steve blushed lightly. Tony looked at Steve, amused. Tony knew for a fact that Steve hadn't been on so much as a date since he was defrosted. But that didn't mean- "Was there a special someone back in the 40's?" Steve shied slightly. Tony grinned.

"Oh, so there was."

"Tony-" Steve started, slightly embarrassed, though he didn't know why.

"Come on, Cap. Give me something, anything, name, looks, type, anything!" Steve found himself laughing. Actually laughing for the first time in weeks.

"Peggy she- wow she was something else," Steve started, the ghost of a smile starting to become visible as the memories started to come back. "She was and agent of the USO, one of the top is the business..at the time."

"Sound's like quite a woman," said Tony, taking another sip of his mostly empty glass, "but I've got Pepper and Peggy's got to be what? In her 90's?" After Tony said it he actually felt guilty about it. It was pretty inconsiderate. Tony had no idea if he was even over this chick yet!

"Yeah," Steve said, slowly, looking down, "I, uh, actually went to see her...It was nice. She's married had kids...Grandkid's."

"That's good then?" Damn it! Tony knew he sucked at this. Hey! He was at least trying here! He was relieved when Steve smiled anyways and spread out, relaxed in his seat.

"Yeah, it is. I like to think she enjoyed her life. Moved on." Another silence came over them, this time not feeling as tense and awkward. It was much more comfortable this time around. Tony ended up breaking said silence not too long after.

"Guess it's time for you too then. So! What's your type?" Asked Tony, pulling out his phone. Steve raised an eyebrow.

"Really?"

"What? We'll save Bruce, throw the kidnapper in prison, fly back and have plenty of time for you to make a date," Tony protested in a good-natured tone. Steve laughed and shook his head.

"You sound like Natasha," Steve decided. Tony flipped through the literally endless phone numbers on his contact's list.

"So like, what? Brunette? Blonde? A Ginger? I bet you'd have fun with a Ginger."

"Tony-" Started Steve, cut off by his own laughter.

"Maybe a specific ginger," said Tony suggestively, waggling his eyebrows.

"Natasha? No, we're just friend's." Tony smirked. "What?"

"I didn't say Natasha. I was referring to this girl I met in London a few years back. Car- Oh, what was her name again?..."

"No, you said Natasha, didn't you?" Tony grinned horribly at Steve's struggles.

"Nope."

"...Oh," Steve said, blushing beet red. Tony laughed at Steve's innocence and downed the rest of his drink.

"Though it's...interesting, how you would automatically assume I was referring to her," Tony said, smugly.

"Ya, ya," Steve said, waving Tony off. Tony set his glass down, not bothering to refill it for now. He figured he'd had enough.

"Since her and Barton aren't actually a thing, I bet you'd have a pretty good shot."

"Dating with-in the team is not allowed," Steve pointed out. Fury made that very clear that more personal relation's than just friends made thing's complicated and confusing, in other words difficult. Steve agreed... to an extent. Tony rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Whatever you say. Oh, and by the way, I know some places she likes." Steve laughed. He knew what Natasha liked. He'd been out with her before.
