BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Huh, back to school already? I get out of bed and head to my closet to pick out my outfit for the day. I decide to wear a long, white, dressy tank top covered by a black sweater. Along with black skinny jeans and combats boots. Not to sound arrogant, but man I look fine. I find black to be most fitting for today since my mother had just died. I pack my bag and head downstairs to leave for school. As I'm leaving, I grab a banana off the kitchen counter. I pull my keys out my pocket, unlocking my baby. In my driveway sits my navy blue mini cooper. Down the the middle runs two black racing stripes, outlined by small white stripes. On my way to school I see a tall guy with brown hair and hazel eyes. As I pass, I can tell he was new to the area and about the same age as me.
I pull into Harrison High parking lot and park in my parking spot. I get out the car and my stomach starts to churn. I’m very nervous to walk into the school I have been going to for 2 years now. As I walk up to the door, I know once I walk inside I’m going to be stared at and people will feel pity for me. But I don't want their pity. As I predicted, when I walk in, all eyes are on me and the hallways went silent. While I’m walking down the center of the hallway, it feels like I am on the catwalk. Finally I get to my locker, and my best friend Elizabeth Keller is awaiting me. She is a very bright blonde, most people call her Liz. With grey eyes the color of a dully lit moon. She is overwhelmingly small compared to most females in this school.
“Hey! I'm sorry about your mom! How are you holding up?” Liz exclaims.
“I’m fine. So, what’s new here, besides my accident?”
“Um, well theres this new guy named Vincent McCall, thats about it.” Liz answered.
I bet he’s the guy I saw walking to school.
“I wonder if I have any classes with him.” I said with hope as I close my locker door.
RIIING
“I’ll see you later.”
“Ok, bye.”
I walked down the hall and took the third left to go up the stairs. After I went upstairs I started to head to biology.
“Hello Ms.Chandler, welcome back,” Mr.Burk says to me as I walked into the classroom.
“Hi” I replied quickly so I could sit down so the attention wasn’t on me.
As I was walking back to my seat I noticed that I went from having no biology partner, to having one, and it was the new kid that I saw this morning. As I’m sitting down and pull out my textbook and notebook the new kid clears his throat. I could tell he had a nice masculine voice, no a little wimpy one.
“Um, Hi, I’m Vincent, Vincent McCall. But you can call me Vinny.”
“Well it’s nice to meet you McCall, I’m Catherine Chandler. But you can call me Chandler, or just Catherine.”
“Ok, Catherine.”
“ Did you walk to school this morning?”I asked.
“Umm, yeah, why?”
“Because I saw you then. Can you pass me the microscope?”
“Here you go.”he said but I could barely hear him
“Thanks.”
As we worked on the assignment, at the end of class Vincent asked me if I drive a blue Mini Cooper.
“Yup. I see you remember me, or at least my car.”
“Yeah I do remember, but I hardly saw you.” He said with a small but cute smile on his face. The bell rang and we both got up, got our stuff and headed out the door where we both said bye and parted ways. The rest of the day until last period where I had Social Studies with Liz, I was thinking about Vincent and hoping that I would have another class with him. As Liz and I walked through the door, I saw Vincent sitting in the corner seat in the far corner of the room. Liz and I sat in the middle seats toward the left of the room. When we were going to our seats I looked at Vincent and our eyes met. A few minutes later Ms. Daniels turned on a video that was one hour long. I looked back at McCall and he was watching the video but didn’t look interested. I couldn’t stop watching him, because, he was so, incredibly, mouthwateringly, HOT! Since I had my sketchbook out, I flipped to a clean page, and started drawing him.
Halfway through class the person behind me tapped my shoulder, so I turned around. They gave me a folded piece of paper. I turned back around and looked at what they gave me. It’s a note. Who would give me a note? I unfolded the paper and read what it said. It was four simple words and a question mark..
“What are you drawing?”
And nothing else, not even who it was from, but I had one person in mind. Vincent McCall. I turned my head to look at McCall and he was looking at me with a smirk. I smirked back while slightly nodding my head left to right.
By the end of class which was also the end of the day, I was done drawing McCall. I drew everything just the way he looked. Brown Hair, hazel eyes, a perfect nose that wasn’t to big, to small or shaped weird. Wavy, almost straight hair that wasn’t short, but wasn’t too long where it almost covered his eyes. I wrote the date on the bottom right corner of the page, wrote my signature and put my things in my bag so I was ready to go when the bell rang. After daydreaming for almost seven minutes the bell rang. I grabbed my bag and was headed out the door to my locker. When I got to my locker I opened it and grabbed the jacket that I brought to school. I closed my locker and Liz was standing there with her arms crossed with her mad face on.
“Why did you leave me? When I got up you were gone.”
“I’m sorry, I’m just in a hurry to get somewhere.” I said nervously because I saw Vincent coming down the hall towards me.
“Well wher-,”
“I’m sorry I have to go.” I say, cutting her off. I hurry and turn around and start walking semi fast towards to door to leave. As I’m heading to my car I can hear someone behind me running to catch up to me. As I suspected when they got to me it was Vincent.
