❝ don't think like that, it's rude. ❞
'I wish there's food at home. I don't have money left.'
'I don't really want to go to his party. I hope I die before I get there.'
'Purple hair, seriously? It doesn't even go with her complexion. So obnoxious.'
Seulji frowns at the various thoughts floating around her mind as she tugs on the locks of her purple hair. Among those is clearly about her, but she doesn't try to look for the person who said it. She doesn't try to anymore. Being out in public gives her migraines. The more she's out with a crowd, the more the voices overwhelms her. Tuning them out is difficult, as the voices are louder that it drowns her thoughts. She usually empties her mind while among them. The voices are just a cluster of murmuring, sometimes some are louder than others. There were times when Seulji encounters people who have really bad thoughts, ones who think of inexplicable things, which scares her.
Sometimes she wishes she doesn't have this quirk.
The drop off to the station is a quick one, and she waves her way around the place until she gets to the quiet neighborhood. There are distant voices coming from the houses and cars driving by, but it doesn't bother Seulji anymore.
'God, why did I marry this imbecile?'
Seulji sighs, muttering under her breath. "You tell me."
As she turns to the corner to where her house is, the voices begin to fade. She takes slow steps, mostly because her bag is heavy with her books. When she goes inside the house, the voices mellow out into one.
'Hm, I think I should carry off the three then add it to nine...'
Her sister, Seulmin, is home.
"Hey, Seulmin! I'm here!" Seulji announces. There's bustling in a room away.
'Oh god, I'm not even finished with homework yet.' Her sister thinks, followed by spoken words. "Hello unnie, welcome back! I made sandwiches! Do you have a headache again? There's meds on the counter as always!"
"Ah, yes. Thank you, Seulminnie."
Seulji smiles at the gesture. Sometimes she forgets routines and things she need after a day of those invading thoughts. She's thankful that somehow her sister helps even though she doesn't really know why Seulji gets frequent headaches. She loves her sister a lot, but it's risky to mention her quirk. Seulji goes to the counter for the meds, takes one of the sandwiches, then goes to her room where she's the safest.
