Chapter 9: Truth Or Dare. Part II

"Im so Happy for him that he found his girl, " Teresa said aloud, still smiling that it was her.

In a desolate place, with Conner and Brad alone.
(The beeping sound that broke the lovebirds' kiss. The truth is about to unveil. Prepare yourself. ) Okay ?! 😯😯😁

Brad knew he would not be able to control himself when he starts kissing Teresa. He knew he might do something wrong that would break their friendship, and Teresa might just then leave him FOREVER.

That's why he set up a timer of 5 min in his pocket as his self- resistance. As he already guessed, had he not set the timer, ANYTHING could have happened.

5 min was not enough for them. Seriously? U readers could see that in Chapter 1. 😏😏😏 Their precious moment broke when the timer beeped and Brad, unwillingly had to break their sensual, pleasant kiss. Confused of his actions and drunk, he left the bar, without speaking a word.

Brad narrated this to Conner.
"What will happen if Muffin somehow gets to know of the truth that u gave me? " Brad asked.

"That's what u wanted. She'll love u back." Conner asked. 🤔

Brad: U've gotta b kidding me.😀

Conner: what's wrong with what I said? Doesn't she like u back. I'm sure she does. It's crystal clear.

Brad: She never will love me back. She deserves someone loads better. And I'm sure she will REJECT. But I'm not worried about that.

Conner: What r u worried about then?

Brad: Her knowing the truth, my feelings of love for her could hamper our FRIENDSHIP.
The friendship I valued more than my life love for her. I will be the loser in both ways. She will leave me. FOREVER. I will always love her as a BEST FRIEND too. What do I do ?

Conner: It's all my fault. I should not have given u that Truth.

Brad: I will die without her. Find me a way.

Conner: OK. Lemme think of a plan.

Brad: I need to see her. C'mon let's go.

Brad and Conner were on their way, and they heard Stella's voice.

"I will kill her! Arrange me a high-quality dagger. " Stella said over phone.

Brad and Conner on hearing this, glanced each other, nervousness in both their faces.

"She's trying to think of killing Teresa." Conner said.

"Now what do I do? " Brad said, thinking how he risked his muffin's life and that Stella was now planning to murder her(Teresa).

Conner: Yes I found a plan. But it's not very efficient. However it can solve both of your problems.

Brad: How is that? C'mon spill.

Conner: U were worried if Teresa gotta know that Truth she'll leave ya.

Brad: Yes, so? He glared at Conner for telling him more.

Conner: What if we change the truth?

Brad: And how will u do that?

Conner: U will do that, not me. U will tell Teresa that u received a dare from me that u had to kiss her and I set the timer of 5 min to make the game more interesting. U were not agreeing at any cost to play with your friend's emotion. But since everyone and I insisted, u had to agree. And after all it was just a game.

Brad: R u dumb? This is the plan u come up with?

Conner: Why what's wrong with it.? I see this is the only way that can solve ur problem & save Teresa's life. With Teresa not knowing ur feelings ur secrets has zero chances and risks of getting spread to everyone, esp Stella. Then she will not think of killing Teresa. Got it! I gave u dare and u had to kiss her. Simple. No emotions are needed to complete a dare. Got it! Stella will be convinced too.

Brad: ok! That's convincing. I luv u Conner. U're my saviour. I will be indebted to u for the rest of my life.

They talked for a few minutes.

At the canteen
Brad and Conner stood behind the girls and heard them say,
"Brad had to kiss the girl he loved, " Nora said.

"What!" Teresa spilled her drink.
"Tell it again," she demanded.
"Brad had to kiss the girl he loved." Amanda repeated.

"Who was the girl?" Teresa asked.

"None of us give it a damn. We know it's none of us. Is it? It was Kaitlyn.

"Yes!" Teresa laughed.

Brad thought, " She thinks I was kidding with her. I knew she never would believe I could love her. Or maybe she thinks I'm too LOW for her. We're like Sky and Earth( ground). Or she may be thinking of this as a made-up story? Ikr. We can never be together. If that's what u want, I'll do as u please. I hope one day comes, even if it's after my death, u will come to know that I was no flirt with u. My feelings were genuine for u. "

"Why are u laughing like crazy? It definitely wasn't u..... Or was it. " Amanda said.

"How can it be me? When u know...... I was not even present at the bar?" Teresa said.

Brad thought
"Now she is hiding the truth. I was right. She doesn't want me. But I do. And I am selfish, I have to save our friendship, I value u more than anything. And now I have to save u from that Stella, regretfully whom I call my so-called girlfriend.

"I'm so happy for him that he found his girl." Brad thought Teresa was being irony.

"It was all a misunderstanding, Muffin," Brad said.

"Huh! " Teresa turned around, and the other girls turned around next.

"I begged Conner for a dare instead. When everyone was out of sight, I pled him that it would be wrong to hurt ur feelings. U're too sensitive & frail. And I might give u high hopes for no reason. I wanted to tell ya. But I didn't get a chance. I'm sorry. " Brad sounded convincing.

Teresa was still as a stone.

"So I didn't give u a chance to speak to me about it. And still, u used. I already told you Brad that I am not your toy. NM it was a game. It would've been better if u'd informed me earlier. But I'm really hurt this time. I don't wanna talk about this anymore. Teresa snapped.

"And that sound from ur pocket?" Teresa asked, her eyebrows lowered.

"That was a timer. I was told to kiss u for 5 min," Brad explained. It took him a lot of courage to say that.

"Oh! Teresa tried to smile, but she couldn't, rather her tears were on the verge of being watery. She didn't waste a second there, and left running , out of the canteen, out of Brad's sight.

"So it was u Teresa!" Amanda meant Teresa whom Brad kissed that night.

"We shouldn't have let her know about it in the very first place. It's all my fault. " Nora said.
"Brad u should go after her( Teresa) " Penelope said.

But Brad didn't follow her.
