~ IV. ~

March 18.

9:23 a.m.

    "Why do I have to do this again?" Donghyuck asked into his earpiece, adjusting the black tie around his neck and tugging on the sleeves of his dark grey suit jacket, clearly uncomfortable.

    "You're the only person that can obtain the information we need before our deadline. I literally explained this to you five minutes ago." Taeyong answered, eyeing the wall of televisions broadcasting the feed from the cameras Lucas hacked into from all around the main buildings of Cheongwadae. 

    "Yeah, yeah. I get it. What information am I even looking for?" Donghyuck asked, more to himself than to anyone else. He eyed the three buildings with blue roofs with all kinds of people walking inside. 

    "You're supposed to find any information regarding the new law being put into motion on June 24. If you find and information related to that topic, copy it onto the hard drive we gave you." Taeyong responded, knowing that Donghyuck wasn't looking for an answer. Donghyuck opened his mouth to say something back to the older, but Taeyong had beat him to it. "Wait, where's Jeno?"

    Donghyuck froze in his place, noticing that the male mentioned wasn't there. He frantically looked around, trying to spot the tall male. Goddamit, Jeno. Donghyuck mumbled to himself, beginning to walk the direction he came from in search of his 'bodyguard'. Eventually he saw the man playing with four cats.

    "Jeno! What the hell are you doing?! We need to get in there!" Donghyuck shouted at the latter, pointing in the direction of the building the two were supposed to be in. "Stop getting distracted!" He said, crossing his arms over his chest.

    "Let me guess. There were cats?" Taeyong asked in the earpiece as Jeno quickly caught up to Donghyuck. Donghyuck rolled his eyes and turned towards the building. His eyes widened as a woman with her hair tied into a tight bun and glasses perched on the edge of her nose stared at him in shock.

    "Can I help you?" Donghyuck asked, his impatience heavy in his tone. The woman blinked rapidly, her face heating up.

    "I'm sorry, are you Lee Haechan?" The woman asked, her eyes going back and forth between the ground and his body. Donghyuck clenched his fists and smiled at the lady.

    "Yep. That's me! Lee Haechan!" Donghyuck replied, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. The woman's face lit up as she pushed back a piece of hair behind her ear.

    "Wow, this is amazing! I'm one of your biggest fans! I've listened to almost all of your speeches!" She bragged, excitement sparkled in her eyes. Donghyuck just nodded at the woman's words.

    "Yes, but while I would love to stay and talk longer, I have to attend to some business. It was nice to meet you, Miss...?" Donghyuck said, slowly walking towards the building and away from the woman.

    "Nari! Kim Nari!" The woman said, waving at Donghyuck as he turned towards the building. Donghyuck punched Jeno in the arm after they were far enough away from the woman that she couldn't hear them.
