It's been different raising a Kind (Kint [Child]) on the battlefield. I don't suggest it, but with w team, we make it work somehow. Robin was so worried about her that Engieneer ended up making a nanny type bot, it doesn't do too much, but it rocks (Y/N) when she's fussy, gives her a bottle when hungry, and alerts us if there is movement around the room. Its help keep Robin calm and that's what's important. She just wants our daughter safe, but she can't keep missing work.
Today's battle was a long one, we ended up using all our time and almost lost the last checkpoint. But we were able to hold out just long enough. It ended with an even three three.
"Josef?" Robin enters our room while still drying her hair, she likes to shower directly after each battle. "How's, (Y/N)?"
"Zhe'z gutt. Look Ich think zhe'z trying to ztand." I point to our Kind using her crib to pull herself up. Looking back to my lovers face I see it's full of excitement and hope, she's been waiting for her to walk, she's about six months now and it's getting to be time.
"Look at her, she's standing in her crib. I'm going to get her out and see if she'll walk."
"Alles klar." (Alice Klar [Alright or All Right]) I don't think she's going to but it's fun to try. I get up off the bed and get the camera ready.
With Robin holding her, I got a little ways away and squat down.
"Come to Papa." (Papa is Daddy in German) Starting the camera and giving Robin the okay, she gently let's go to see what will happen. Nothing happens, (Y/N) just a sits down and starts crawling around.
"Not yet I guess." Meine Liebste sighs and comes to me, I hold her, wrapping my arms around her waist and kissing her head.
"Zhe'll do it zoon, don't vorry."
"What if she does and we're not looking?" She looks up at me, her beautiful blue eyes full of worry.
"Zhen ve'll catch her zecond step." I kiss her face. "Ja?"
"I guess, just the first step is so important."
"Ich weiß, but zhere vill be many more." I kiss her once more before letting go, it's time for my little Dove to eat, since Robin is tried, I'll make the formula tonight.
I pass Sniper in the hall; I know he's on his way to our room because Scout's is the opposite way. He and Robin are good friends and he's in love with (Y/N). He's also a good Uncle, who's also offered to watch (Y/N) tonight as I'm planning to take Robin out and officially ask her to marry me, I have a ring and everything.
I did ask her about three months ago, but I'm slightly ashamed in the way I did, in the dark, at like midnight, in our bed. I got so nervous that this was the only way I could do it. She said yes but was upset with me for doing like that. Not an angry upset more like a surprised upset. She called me a brat, for the record I'm not a brat, but she was right to be upset. She demanded I do it again, so here I am preparing to do it again, and even though she said yes once, I'm still nervous.
I'm taking her to the park, tonight it's going to be at its emptiest because it's a Wednesday. She loves the fairy lights, we have gone a couple of dates there since our first one, and every time she's in love with the lights, so I think this is the place place for it.
I even consulted Spy and Sniper, those two are like family to her; Spy instantly made himself Grandfather or Godfather of our child, in a way he declared Robin as his child, his adoptive girl. So, with the fact I hate her biological father and I wanted to do it somewhat old school, I sheepishly asked him if he thought we were a good match. When he said yes, I was relived, but Spy being Spy knew what I was really after and made me ask. He said, "If you want her hand in marriage, and you want a father's consent, I'm the closest thing she has to one to a father since we all hate her parents, that means you have to ask me." So, I asked him, he said yes, of course, but warned me that Sniper might not be as nice. I didn't have to ask him, he just warned me if anything happen, Sniper was the one I really need to watch out for.
