Chapter 7: Knowing Each Other

Next morning...

Roy: "(drowsy) Ugh..."

Roy grabs his phone off of his dresser to get a call from Edo.

Edo: "Let me guess, you're still in bed."

Roy: "(drowsy) Yeah..."

Edo: "Listen, Michael is taking us over to his place."

Roy falls out of bed.

Roy: "(drowsy) Okay..."

Edo: "We'll be in the park like yesterday."

Edo hangs up.

Roy: "(stretching) Why are we meeting at his place?"

Roy grabs his clothes.

Twenty minutes later...

Michael: "So you guys ready to have your minds explode?"

Everyone has met up at the park and are already heading towards a gigantic mansion.

Emily: "Wait..."

Cole: "Don't tell me you-"

They step through the main gate.

Michael: "I do."

Michael opens the front door.

Tori: "(in awe) You two live here?"

Roy: "(jealous) Lucky..."

Roy sees Risa reading her manga.

Roy: "(fascinated) You read manga too?"

Risa: "(looking up) Yeah."

Zack: "Uh oh..."

Isabel: "(confused) What?"

Emily: "Manga debate."

Roy and Risa go in talking about manga.

Edo: "Let's go into a different room."

As Roy and Risa continue their discussion, the others head into the next room where a wide assortment of cookies and drinks await them.

Isabel/ Emily: "(in a trance) Cookies..."

Anthony: "Aaaannnd I forgot about Isabel and her-"

Emily and Isabel begin devouring the cookies.

Anthony: "... cookie addiction."

Micheal: "Do you keep cookies in your apartment?"

Anthony: "Nope, and here's the reason."

Andrea: "I'll keep that in mind next time we have a get together."

Asaka: "A get together?"

Andrea: "I figured since we don't know each other very well, we could use today to understand

each other a bit better."

Cole: "That's actually pretty smart."

Zack: "It really is."

Everyone sits down on a couch.

Emily: "(snapping out of it) What?

Isabel: "(snapping out of it) Huh?"

Asaka: "Just sit on a couch after you two seriously clean up."

Emily: "Sorry!"

As the two clean up, Zack explains their connection to Austin.

Zack: "So Austin was the original beta tester for Tomorrow's Knights."

Serena: "And had attempted to kill all of us."

William: "We get that part, but why is he after you?"

Tori: "Back when we thought we finished him..."

Flashback to a few months ago, around the time Shining Star dealt with Aegis...

Austin: "Impressive Knights of Hope."

Zack was standing up despite losing 12HP by the second.

Zack: "(determined) Micheal Myls was injured against Walker, but he still stood up and fought!"

Zack fights back with power he's never felt before.

Tori: "Everyone!"

Zack: "(determined) You're going down Austin!"

Zack fights back so hard, he shatters a wall of binary and slams Austin in the face.

Serena: "No matter what, we'll go past you!'

Everyone else follows up with ranged attacks that finishes Austin off.

Emily: "We'll keep going further beyond!"

Edo: "And you're the first hurdle in that dream!"

Austin: "I'll get you Knights of Hope!"

Austin vanishes with a look of hatred in his eyes.

Back to present day...

Michael: "So in a way, I helped you."

Zack: "After that, we though Austin was done for."

Cole: "Then we get to here."

Robert: "So we're going against a combination of two people that hate all of us."

Roy and Risa walk in.

Edo: "Yeah pretty much."

Roy: "(confused) What're you guys talking about?"

Risa: "(confused) Yeah I agree."

Everyone face palms.

Isabel: "(disappointedly) This is what happens when you're not in the room."

Isabel explains what just happened.

Roy/ Risa: "Oh..."

Asaka: "Good thing we know what seven of you went through."

Anthony: "(blushing) Yeah..."

Serena: "So let's get to know each others personalities."

Serena scoots closer to William.

William: "(blushing) Uh guys?"

Kyle: "You're on your own William."

Edo: "We can't get in her head for you."

Emily: "Isabel and I know each other off the computer."

Robert: "That explains the similar personalities."

Roy: "Well, Risa and I were bonding over manga."

Michael/ Zack: "You don't say..."

Everyone was talking up a storm. They explained their love for video games, hanging out, their families, anything. They did this for hours until they check the time.

Andrea: "Good thing I checked in with your parents."

Roy: "(confused) What did you do?"

Michael: "Guys are in my room!"

Everyone puts the pieces to the puzzle together.

Shining Hope: "(excited) Sleepover!"

Andrea: "We'll log in again tomorrow morning and get ourselves stronger."

They all head upstairs.

William: "You guys do have surprisingly comfortable floors."

Cole: "Really?"

Risa and the others enter Andrea's room.

Andrea: "We have a change for everyone in here."

Risa: "I'll just sit over here."

Risa sits in a corner and continues to read.
