The Havoc Saga Book #1: Dark Photon (A Steve Saga Fan Fiction)

Chapter 4: Attack on the Capital

          Photon Steve had settled in to his new home in the Capital. A few days ago when he arrived, Photon Steve had been greeted by the town leader, Supremacy Steve. Since then, he had made many friends, but he was still adjusting to his new peaceful life. One of these friends was Magma Steve. Magma Steve had once been an Orange Steve, but he transformed after falling into an erupting volcano. While he still looked like an Orange Steve, his light gray eyes gave him away. Magma Steve was likely the bravest Steve that Photon Steve had ever known.

          As the sun set, Photon Steve retired to his stone hut. He didn't know why, but he felt like something was coming, about to strike. All of a sudden, the town alarm went off. A Green Steve yelled, "We're under attack! Royal Nightmares at the front gate!" Photon Steve was confused, for the Royal Nightmares were not usually aggressive towards the Steves. Leading the assault was Red Nightmare. Photon Steve knew that Red Nightmare would use every bit of power he had to break down his enemies defenses. Three Blue Steves tried to subdue Red Nightmare, but he overpowered them with minimal effort.

          Red Nightmare continued to power through the Capital's defenses. Photon Steve joined the fight, but his untrained powers were not enough to take out the swarm of Royal Nightmares that were encircling him. There had to be at least 100 Royal Nightmares attacking them at this point. The Royal Nightmares were each weaker than generic Steves, but they were very deadly in number. Quantum Steve, Twilight Steve, Core Steve, and Magma Steve were all busy dealing with their own swarms so they couldn't help. It almost seemed like the town was lost, but then, Supremacy Steve joined the fight.

          Unlike many Steves, Supremacy Steve was proficient with a sword and used his powers to enhance his hand-to-hand combat style. This combat style was quite similar to the Royal Nightmares' combat styles. The Blade of Supremacy was hand crafted by Supremacy Steve and could deal lethal blows to those in its path. Red Nightmare drew his own weapon and locked blades with Supremacy Steve. He then stated, "The Steves must fall!" Supremacy Steve was confused, but he didn't let his guard down. Their blades continued to clash for a few more minutes, with each collision lighting up like a redstone lamp when powered. Eventually though, Supremacy Steve gained the upper hand and Red Nightmare ordered a full retreat. After the last of the Royal Nightmares had fled the area, Photon Steve asked Supremacy Steve why had the Royal Nightmares attacked the town. Supremacy Steve replied, "I honestly don't know..."
