*Knock knock*
Waking up slowly to the sound of my door opening, I see my best friend Eddie. He always comes to wake me up with a smile on his face ready to hang out with me. Our usual day consists of going to his room, also known as the basement, to work on our business or listen to music just having fun. This particular day though, it was one we will never forget.
As we walk down the long dark staircase to the finished basement, we laugh at each other tripping over ourselves. All we can think about is playing our favorite songs and going crazy. I follow Eddie to his Queen size bed while his black Cocker Spaniel, Nina follows happily after me. When we join together, Eddie leans in towards me and whispers, "I think Nina saw something last night." Eddie likes to joke with me and he's really good at making me believe it so I laughed. "What like a ghost?" I respond sarcastically, but the look in his eyes gave me a weird feeling in my stomach. "Yes Sadie I'm not lying or playing with you, I really think she saw something. She wouldn't stop growling and sniffing. She even started to cry." Ive never heard or felt anything unnatural about this house but he looked terrified, I couldn't help but to believe him.
"What are you gonna do?" I asked a little frightened. Eddie shrugged his shoulders and looked down at Nina. It was silent for a few minutes when Nina walked away and started to growl. Eddie immediately reacts, "see that's what she was doing." I couldn't believe it, she was growling at the door on the far side of the basement. We never go in that room because we've heard really dark stories about it but that day curiosity took over. As we open the basement door a black figure with a dark, long, grey face, eyes as red as blood, and teeth sharp as a razor, comes rushing out of the room and disappears. We pass out.
After a few minutes of deep sleep we wake up and realize we haven't been dreaming. We run upstairs as fast as we could leaving behind whatever was down there. We have yet to go back into the basement.
