Nathan's P.O.V
"Come on baby Nath! Stage Time."
"Nathan?"
"Nath?
"You in?"
"NATH!"
I jump, startled out of my thoughts and I look up from my phone. "Huh?" Max looks at me, "You okay mate?" I nod, "Y-yeah..." Siva smiles sympathetically, "You really miss Cassie don't you?" I nod again. "Yeah." Jay grins, "Don't worry mate, you'll see her again one day." Tom nods, "Yeah, Jay's right. You never know, she might be at one of our shows." Max pats me on the shoulder, "Come on Nath, we've got a show to do. Can't keep the fans waiting. Let's give them a night to remember, yeah?" I nod and follow them out as we head onto the stage. The fans are screaming loudly and we immediately jump into our first song.
Later on in the show, we're singing away, bobbing around the stage and giving attention to the fans. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a hat fly onto the stage and I quickly head over to it. As I pick it up, I smile slightly. It's exactly like the one I gave to Cassie.
*Flashback*
"This is so not fair. I wish I didn't have to go." Cassie sighs, shoving a few items into a box. I'm helping her pack up her things. She's right it's not fair. It sucks. She's moving far away and I'm not gonna see her in ages. She sits on her bed and sighs again, a tear rolling down her cheek. Quickly, I sit beside her and pull her into my arms. "Shh, it's okay." She starts to cry, "No it's not okay! It's not at all Nath. They're taking me away from you! I won't see you in a long long time. I don't want to go. I can't leave you, Nath." I sigh, "Cass, you'll be okay! We can text and call each other every day. I'll come over as often as I can. They can't stop me. I won't let them. I promise you. I'll text you constantly throughout the day and call you nonstop. Yeah? I promise!"
Cassie looks up at me and smiles slightly, "Oh Nath...what am I gonna do without you. I'm gonna miss you so much! I'll be doing exactly the same!"
"Cassie! It's time to go! You'd better be packed!"
Cassie lets go of me and picks up one of the boxes. I jump up quickly and grab a couple of the other boxes. "I'll help you." We load her things into the van and then the van driver shuts the door. Her parents start to get into their car but Cassie hangs back. "I guess this is goodbye." She says and I shake my head, "No, it's not goodbye. It's...it's I'll see you soon." She hugs me tight. "See you soon Nath!" "See you soon Cass! And you can count on it!" She smiles slightly and lets go of me, hearing her parents calling again. She sighs and walks off towards the car. As she reaches the car door, I run after her.
"WAIT!"
She turns and looks at me, "Nath? What are you doing?" I smile and take off my hat before plonking it on her head, "Here!" Her eyes widen, "Nath no! I can't it's your favourite!" I simply smile, "Please...keep it. It's something to remember me by." Cassie smiles and shakes her head at me, "I'd never forget about you! Ever!" I quickly hug her tight and I feel her arms around me. "I'm really going to miss you." I say and she sighs sadly, "I'll miss you even more." I smile slightly, "I seriously doubt that!"
Cassie's parents are still calling after her, her dad sounding very angry now. He gets out of the car and marches over to us. "WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT? PUT THAT IDIOT DOWN, WE HAVE TO GO!" Intimidated, I quickly let her go realising I have no choice. Cassie turns to her dad, "He was just giving me a goodbye present." Seeing the hat on her head, he glares at me before grabbing Cassie by the arm. "DAD NO! LET GO OF ME!" He yells at her as she struggles. "YOU'RE HURTING HER!" I shout, "LET HER GO! STOP PULLING AT HER LIKE THAT!" Cassie manages to break free and runs over to me, Tears pour down her face and she hugs me tightly. As she lets go she looks up into my eyes before reaching up and kissing me gently on the cheek, "Goodbye Nathan." As her dad grabs her for a second time, she doesn't fight back, looking at me helplessly. My hand is touching my cheek where she kissed me and a few tears leak from my eyes as I watch Cassie being shoved into the car. Her dad glares at me before getting in the car himself.
