Cassie's P.O.V

After walking onto the tour bus, Nathan is very quick to give me a tour of the place. But then we head to the back of the bus away from everyone else and flop on the sofa. We need a serious 1-to-1 catch-up session.

"So..."

"So..."

We both chuckle slightly gazing at each other. But then our smiles fade and tears roll down our cheeks. Quickly we wrap our arms around each other as we cry into each other. All our emotions that we were holding in, flooding out in one big rush.

"I missed you so much!"

"I missed you way more!"

"I seriously doubt it!"

We both chuckle together and hold each other close for a while. Eventually, I look up into his dazzling green eyes that I've missed so much. They're glistening with tears, and as a single stray tear rolls down his cheek I gently wipe it with my thumb. He immediately copies my actions as I feel a tear roll down my cheek. Biting my lip, I smile, "Hey." He grins, "Hey." Nathan tilts his head slightly, "I can't believe you're here! How have you been? How's the old man? Can't believe he let you fly out here to see me." I laugh, "You really think he'd let me fly out here, just to see you?" But I sigh and shrug, "I wouldn't know how he is. I moved out a long while ago. Moved back to the UK to live with Rachel." Nathan's eyes widen, "Did things get really bad?" I nod, "I couldn't get out of there fast enough. As soon as I got the chance I left. Was fortunate that I found a college course they approved of over here. Not that I like it, but it was the only way for them to let me come back over here and live with Rach."

Nathan wraps an arm around me, "I'm sorry you had to go through that alone. But you've got me back now! You're not alone now." I snuggle into him, "I know." But then I smirk and prod him playfully. "Look at you. You're Mr big shot now, aren't ya! In a famous boyband and everything!" Nathan laughs. "But I'm still the same Nath you grew up with. I haven't changed!" I laugh, poking his cheek "Not in the slightest." I then raise an eyebrow, "So what's it like? Being in a world-famous boyband?" Nathan smiles. "Amazing! I love travelling and writing songs and performing on stage. I love meeting fans too!" I smile up at him fondly, "You were amazing up there by the way. You're definitely at home on the stage. I'm so proud of you Nath!" We hug again but this time someone clears their throat.

"This is cute and all, but you've got some explaining to do!"

We both look over and see Sam standing in the doorway.  Biting my lip, I slowly let go of Nathan. Sam plonks herself in the middle of us. "So I couldn't help overhear... you moved away overseas? Why? Why'd you leave Nath like that? How the heck did you lose contact?" Before I can say anything, the rest of The Wanted boys walk in, joining us. So much for the 1-to-1 catchup. I think to myself, sighing.

Taking a deep breath, I begin to explain "My parents. Mainly my dad. Long story short he hates Nath and no one has any idea why. Dad made me move away to America with him and mom. He also destroyed my phone. But I managed to salvage all our photos and he didn't realise that I had Nath's number memorised. I'm not sure how we lost contact after that though. I just stopped hearing from him. I kept trying to call and text him but he never answered. But then...thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if he said something to Nath to scare him off." As I finish speaking I see the sad and ashamed expression on Nathan's face and my eyes widen, "He did...didn't he?" I gasp. "That's why..." My voice trails off as Nathan nods, "Why I suddenly cut all contact with you ." I bite my lip and look up at the others. They all look shocked. I know they're about to bombard Nathan with questions and lecture him. "Guys..." I say, glancing at Nath. "Could you give us a moment?"

Nathan's P.O.V

"Guys...Could you give us a moment?"

In response to Cassie's question, the others nod and leave the room. After they've gone, Cassie turns to me. She gently places her soft hand on mine and looks me in the eyes. "Nath? What did he say to you?"

I bite my lip as I tell her.

*Flashback*

I've just arrived at Cassie's new house. Mum flew us over here for the holidays, so I could see her. I'm really excited to see her again. I run-up to the front door and eagerly knock on it. After a few minutes, it swings open and I grin, enthusiastically. But that smile quickly fades when I see that it's her dad instead of Cassie.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?"

I gulp, "I-I, er, I've come to see Cassie." He folds his arms, frowning "She's not in." I shake my head, "That can't be true, she knew that I was coming over." He narrows his eyes, "She doesn't want to see you."

I look at him in confusion, "Huh?" Her dad nods, "She told me to tell you this if you rang again or came over: She wants nothing to do with you. She finds finds you a nuisance. Cassie was very happy to move out here. She dreamed of going to medical school. Particularly one over in the USA. You were always holding her back."
I frown, "She never said any of this to me."
He grins, "She doesn't want you to be upset. She has a good heart that one. And why do you think she didn't want to leave. Because she didn't want to leave you behind. Cassie pity's you. An ugly, awkward, stupid boy." He laughs, "You really think she'd seriously want to be friends with someone like you. Ha! As if!"

I bite down on my lip hard, not wanting to let him see that my heart is being torn in two. "No... it...it can't be."
Her dad smirks, "Listen, kid, I know you care about her and it's painfully obvious she doesn't care about you. Make it easier for the both of you. Leave her alone. Move on! Forget about her. She's forgotten all about you."

I nod and turn away so he doesn't see the tears roll down my cheeks.
"Oh and one more thing..."
I hear a click and turn to see a rifle in his hand, making me instantly gulp and freeze in fear.
"You even think about coming back here and I won't hesitate to pull the trigger. And don't think your family will escape from it either!"

Rapidly I turn on my heel and sprint down the path and away from the houseWhen I get back to the hotel, his words revolve around my head and I break down in tears.

"What he said really got to me. I should have known it was all crap! I did try calling and texting you, just to get your side but there was never any answer, so I guess I just assumed."
Cassie sighs, "He took my phone and computer, only let me use them if he was watching me. And only for homework." She then frowns, her gaze dropping to the floor, "But when I never heard from you I thought... I thought you'd forgotten about me." My eyes widen and I cup her chin in my hand, tilting her head up slightly so our eyes meet. "Me? Forget about you?" I grin, "Never!" Cassie smiles slightly, before pulling me into a hug, "I'm so sorry my dad said those things. And threatened you! He's a douche bag! None of what he said is true. You know that right? You'll always be my best friend."
Holding her close, I smile, "I know and you'll always be my best friend too!"

*Click*

"OMG NASSIE FOREVER!"

We separated quickly and I raise an eyebrow at the others. Seriously? Nassie? Wow...
"Way to ruin the moment guys!" But I grin, "Jay, you better send me a copy of that photo."

He does and I quickly post it on Twitter.

Cassie replies to my tweet pretty quickly and I make sure I follow her. I can't help but smile at her reply.
