Chapter 2

Weiss POV:

It's been 3 months since the Parade in Y/N's honor. After a while it slowly became evident that I was pregnant. My abdomen was now slightly protruded and after a few doctor appointments it was confirmed I wasn't getting fat. At first I was scared. But then it dawned on me. I had the only last connection of Y/N growing inside of me. I began to feel overjoyed. I made a promise to myself when I realized I was pregnant. I am going to take care of and protect this baby even if it meant putting my life on the line.

"Weiss! The Bullheads here! We gotta go now!" Ruby said holding her luggage in her hand that looked so overpacked that it might explode.

I chuckled at her childishness and picked up my bags heading to the Bullhead. I was slightly nervous for this trip as we were heading to Menagerie. And Faunus and Schnees do not get along nicely. Yang offered me a hand helping me get into the Bullhead.

Ever since she found out I was pregnant she has been helping me with whatever I needed and would frequently answer questions about my pregnancy I had and would always help to check up how I'm doing. Blake too has been a huge help with the nightmares I get and helps to calm me down by sitting by my bedside until I sleep or bringing me late night tea. Red Bush tea. I'm not able to have anything with caffeine in it so Red Bush Tea is a great caffineless alternative.

Ruby on the other hand is already playing the part of the God Mother. She frequently takes me shopping for gender neutral based items for the baby. I laugh at her enthusiasm sometimes.

The bullhead took off as we made our way to Menagerie. The carrier was packed with people both human and Faunus alike. Although these are people from Beacon so I had noting to worry about.

Apparently Jaune has had a small influence on me as I now have motion sickness. The doctor said it would be a side effect of the pregnancy that I would just have to deal with as I am not allowed to take any medication while I am pregnant as it can affect the baby's development. Same thing with Caffeine and Alcohol.

After a few hours later we had arrived in Menagerie. It was a large island off the south edges of Vale across the ocean. The Bullhead landed and passengers got off. People were waiting for students who had taken leave or were here for holidays or even personal reasons. Our team stuck out like a sore thumb as we were the only humans to exit the bullhead. We left and headed to where Blake lives.

For an island of people who were told to make do it was surprisingly beautiful. The architecture of the houses stood out and you could easily notice the change in status as the houses got more complex the further in we got.

As I admired the houses we were stopped by a group of male Faunus. The almost encircled us.

"You're a Schnee aren't you?" One of them asked almost seeming hostile. My team formed a barrier around me incase they may try something.

"Y-Yes I am..." I said meekly sounding like a scared little mouse.

"I just want you to know-" He said as I took in notice of all the knives and daggers they all had on them. I saw how my team started to reach for their weapons.

"That we are truly sorry for your loss." He finished as their entire group seemed to lighten up. I was beyond confused at the turn of events. I then realized they meant me losing Y/N. I slightly straightened up.

"Thank you, it means a lot." I said my voice cracking slightly. The man who spoke walked up to me and gave me a card.

"If you ever need a tour or feel like you need to keep yourself busy you can call this number and we will be there to help enrich your stay in Menagerie." He said smiling genuinely at me. I smiled back.
