~Just Folklore~

As the sun fell, and the moon rose, the people of Phoenix Peak prepared for it's weekly Friday Luau, which was a symbol of celebration from the past week of work. Even though most still worked the weekend, it was a nice occasion to look forward to every week.

The island is actually called Phoenix Peak, because of a very high cliff at one side of the island which attracted most of the island's tourists. It housed a stunning view of distant islands and everything else. It was also a notorious cliff-jumping zone.

Also, according to legend, there used to be a great Phoenix who stood valiantly at the cliff's peak and watched protectively over the islands and it's inhabitants. It was especially powerful against the treacherous creatures which resided in the island's surrounding waters.

But this is all just folklore...right?

Aphmau was just closing up the restaurant when a voice called her out of her labor daze.

"You're heading down to the Luau, right, workaholic?"

Aphmau just rolled her eyes at the man, who was the last one in the restaurant with her. He'd come to join her in the dining area as he was done washing up in the kitchen.

"You make me out to be so dull, Lycan. Of course, I'm going..." As she sweeps, she brings the broom and herself right up against Aaron, surprising him slightly as she lingered in this position to say just a few words in a seductive tone: "...the water is at it's best at night."

But then she goes about her sweeping nonchalantly, leaving the poor man with nothing.

"O-oh you..." He then proceeds to sneak his brawny arms around her waist and hug her tightly from the back, Aphmau giggling as she embraced the action, before gasping in shock and worry.

"Aaron! We said---"She starts, reciting their previous agreement of keeping their relationship a secret, but Aaron just swivels his head around, the night almost silent despite distant clamoring from the beach.

"Aph, there is no one around. Plus, I've waited all day in this stuffy wooden shack to do this." As Aaron leans in for the kiss, he gets a playful slap instead.

"Um, ow." He blinks, looking down to the cute girl in his arms for an explanation.

"It is NOT stuffy." She defends, pouting her lips as she crossed her arms childishly, diverting her gaze to the bonfire being set in the distance.

"Is too." Aaron says, using the comeback of an eight-year-old as he placed his soft lips to hers, shutting both of them up as they lost themselves in the long-awaited kiss.

Have a nice day my crystals!
