~Three weeks later~
Hinata leaned onto the wooden counter top as he watched Kageyama drink his morning latte. A soft sigh escapes his lips into the loud coffee shop, where people were laughing and talking together before they had to get to their jobs. Kageyama sipped at his latte while looking at his phone, probably looking over work related things. Papers sat on the table infront of him. He set his phone down to look over the papers, a frown on his face as he did so. Hinata looked away as a new costumer came up to the register.
"Hello! Welcome to the Coffee Bean! What would you like today Miss?" Hinata asked with a happy-go-lucky voice.
The women sighed. "Can I just get a piece of the lemon loaf please." She said, not so friendly.
Hinata nodded quickly. "Yup! Is their anything else you might want to get today?"
The women shook her head. "That will be all for me." She said.
Hinata smiled. "Okay! That comes to $1.00!"
The women scoffed but handed the money over to Hinata. He set it in the cash register carefully. Hinata walked to the glass container that held all the pastries and goodies. He took out one piece of the lemon loaf and placed it into a paperbag. The women tapped her foot, annoyingly and sighed loudly. Hinata gave her the bag and smiled.
"Have a good day Miss!" He said happily.
The women snapped the bag out of his hands and huffed. "Yup, thanks." She said storming off out of the store.
Hinata sighed to himself. 'She wasn't very kind was she..?' He thought. He closed the glass case and started to clean the tops of the counters. Yamaguchi stepped out from the back room and tapped Hinata lightly on the shoulder. Hinata turned around and tilted his head.
"You should go clean the tables now." Yamaguchi said softly, eyeing a table that was dirty beside the male that Hinata took a liking to.
Hinata looked at Kageyama. He blushed and nodded. "O-okay.. I'll d-do that now t-then..!" He said, grabbing two rags and wetting one of them.
Hinata walked to the dirty table and placed the wet rag on it. He started to rub it in circles to get the stickyness off the table. When Hinata was done, he took the dry rag and wiped up the wet surface. Hinata had a small smile on his face as he hummed to himself gently. Kageyama looked up at him and softly blushed. He averted his eyes, starting to read his papers again. Hinata presumed the paper he was reading was a letter from the formatting. The writing was cursive and small. Hard to see from where Hinata stood, cleaning off the rest of the table. Gathering little pieces of garbage and some of the coffee shops fine china. Hinata held them in one hand as he walked swiftly past Kageyama and back to the counter where he gave Yamaguchi the plates.
Yamaguchi was smiling smugly as he said, "Well.. looks like he likes you back, huh?" He said coyly.
"W-what?! H-how did you g-get that idea?!" Hinata asked, but in Yamaguchi's opinion it was more like a scream.
"From the way he was looking at you and blushing, idiot." Yamaguchi said rolling his eyes and taking the plates. "I think it's pretty obvious."
Hinata shook his head. "I-it's not obvious at all! How of all people did YOU get it first?! You're about as oblivious as me! Like when that guy was flirting with you last weekend in the mall. You couldn't even tell then, but now all of a sudden you can?! Not fair!" He grumbled.
Yamaguchi shrugged. "Maybe it's just that I'm oblivious to people flirting with me but when I see it with someone else.. I know what's happening?" He said, half questioning himself.
Hinata sighed and leaned on the counter top, looking at Kageyama sadly. "What if you're wrong though Yamaguchi? What if he doesn't like me? And when I ask him out tomorrow he declines and calls me disgusting? I-i don't want him to hate me...!" He says, tears starting to brim in Hinata's eyes.
"Well then.. I'll show him what he deserves when he calls MY friend disgusting." Yamaguchi's aura darkened around him.
Hinata smiles and nods quickly at Yamaguchi's reply. Yamaguchi pushed him out from behind the counter and told him to finish cleaning. Hinata nodded again and grabbed his rags. He walked over to an empty table and started to clean again.
~At closing~
The Café was clear. All the chairs were up on top of the tables and the signs outside were brought back inside. Hinata sighed and swept the ground with the coffee shops old wooden broom. He turned the open sign to closed and smiled as he grabbed his stuff to leave. He opened the door and closed it. Locking the door so he wouldn't get into trouble the next day. Hinata sighed and started his journey back home to his tiny apartment complex. He saw a figure at the stairs and huffed. He walked past the person who resorted to grabbing his arm and tugging him back. Hinata frowned as he looked at the man still holding onto his arm.
"Let go of me." Hinata said plainly, almost emotionless.
The man shook his head. "Oh Hinata.. you think I would really let you go that easily did you..?"
Hinata pulled his arm from the man's grasp. "Itsuki, I told you already. We. Are. Over. Go away. You are NOT welcome here anymore." He said sternly with a glare at the man.
Itsuki smiled. "I don't think so Hinata. I can do what I want to, don't you know that by now. What was mine stays mine forever. Even you, my darling." His voice was sickeningly sweet as he said those words.
"I'm not an object that you can manipulate. You should just move on Itsuki. It would do both of us good to get away from each other." Hinata turned and started to walk up the stairs again, when an arm wrapped around his waist to hold him in place. "What the hell are you doing..?" He asked.
"I'm not just going to let you leave. You can't talk to me like that and just get away with it, you know." Itsuki smiled at Hinata.
Hinata snarled at him. "You will let me go right now Itsuki or I swear I'll call the cops on you!" He yelled turning his head to give a side glare at the taller male.
Itsuki laughed at Hinata's atempt. His emerald green eyes examining Hinata's body carefully. The eyes traveling down to his thighs then back to Hinata's face to look at his pink lips. Hinata shuttered gently in his grasp.
"Hinata, why did you leave me alone that day, hmm? We could still be together if you invited me. But instead you had to make it like a little game for me to find you. If you really want that apology for hitting that guy when I did find you, I'm sorry okay..?"
"Really?! Did you just say 'hit'!? You literally BEAT him for talking to me! Let alone him touching me! I won't accept your apology! Never! You hurt some bad enough to put him in a hospital just for talking to me! I'll never forgive that action!" Hinata yelled, getting more angry by the second. "So leave me alone and never talk to me AGAIN!" Hinata wiggled to get out of his grasp the was clutching onto his waist tightly.
Itsuki frowned and scoffed. "You'll want me back and when you do.. I'll make you stay forever. Which will happen Hinata. Just you wait. I'll also never stop trying to get you either. So watch out for me." He said smugly before walking off.
Hinata stood in disbelief, a horrified expression on his face. He took out his phone and called Suga. The phone rang and rang until, he heard the beep of the voice mail. Hinata sighed and ended the call. He walked up the stairs, getting out his keys and opening the door. Hinata closed the door and slid down it. He curled into a ball and sniffled.
"Why did I have to see him again.." Hinata said in a small, delicate and broken voice.
