It's autumn time and you were forced to enrol in another school. Your dad unfortunately is a minister which means he has to move frequently which ultimately causes you to move too...

The school this year: Rosewood High. You've heard so much about this place named Rosewood and how it is a town of mystery; the town the infamous Alison DiLaurentis went missing from. You wonder if she will ever return and you think how devastated her family must be.

You pull up to school on your lemon coloured Vespa motorcycle. It takes you a while to figure out where the car park is...

You stand gazing at the front entrance to the school. Any new school you went to before just felt like an emotionless building which was compulsory to traverse to everyday. But this school... there's something about it that intrigues you and makes you willingly want to enter.

No more dawdling about! You walk through the doors and just before you get the chance to enter the school office the noticeboard catches your eye. You take a long look at the extracurriculars on offer and you just can't decide, they have so many! If only you had someone to help you make decisions...

"Hi there! You look confused...?" An unfamiliar yet angelic face asks.

Flustered by her complexion you stutter, "Y.. yes." You have to clear your throat before saying, "I'm trying to decide what after school activity I should do."

"Ah yes, there is many, it's just to make sure everyone fits in. I'll help you choose if you like." She smiles gently.

"But you don't even know who I am."

"Yet..." She winks. "I'm Mona, by the way, Vanderwaal."

"Well it's nice to say I have a friendly face in this sea of people." You realise you haven't told Mona your name yet. "Oh. Sorry, it's Y/N."

"Pleasure to meet someone..." She pauses and smirks, "with such a beautiful face like yours."

Is it possible she could like me too? You say to yourself, taken aback by her forwardness. You catch your breath after a few seconds of losing all sanity in her deep brown eyes.

"So, Mona, do you think we could hang out? I think we should get to know each other more." Your gaze is still locked on her eyes as if a missile to its target.

"Please! Let me give you my digits." She smiles with accomplishment.

"Oh sure..." you shyly hand the phone into her dainty hands, thinking how euphoric it would feel if her hands glided gently through your hair.

She brushes her hair behind her ear and proceeds to putting her contact into your phone.

"Done! Call me or something. That's what they say in movies right?" She laughs.

Her laugh. It's more pure than a baby's first laugh. It's like you're hearing birds chirp for the first time.

"Don't worry I'll call..." you can't even bring yourself to laugh, you just can't believe that someone this perfect exists and apparently is also interested in you.

I'll definitely call, you say in your head. There's no way you can let someone like that get away. And just like that she says she has to get to class, damn she read my mind, you think in your head.

"I'll see you later then?" You say hopeful.

"For sure, Y/N..."

Mona finds you at lunch. She tells you what food is good and what to stay away from. You both sit together and talk about your interests. To your surprise she tells you she goes to French club after school, you tell her you want to join as you have always loved the language.

"Ah! Magnifique! We'll have so much fun." She remarks.

"I'm thinking about joining cheerleading too." You say.

"You'd look so cute in those skirts... and the pom poms yeah...!" She's all flustered.

She is definitely flirting, you think to yourself. You look down then back up at her, smiling.

You are halfway through the school day. You've been thinking about how perfect Mona is the whole time. Your phone buzzes. You think it could be important so you check it out.

"Be careful who you kiss. What if your minister dad found out? -A."

You brush the text off. Someone from an old school could be messing with you.

Before you even realise the final school bell rings. Today went by like a strike of lightning. You can't rid your mind of Mona, she's just unreal. You sit on your motorcycle lost in your thoughts and just like magic, the only familiar face starts walking towards you.

"You want to go for a drive?" You ask, picturing her arms around your waist.

     "I would love to..."
