His Hatred For Them

~That's A Bit Harsh~

David watches as Max rushes away, he looks a bit confused then stands up. "Um, alrighty then..." David walks to the Mess Hall so he can check on Gwen and the campers.
Y/n's POV
Wow... nobody's ever done something like that for me! That was so nice of Gwen!! I wonder why everyone wanted me to sit with them... my thoughts are interrupted by someone kicking in the door and falling on their face.
     It was David, of course. I giggle a bit as he quickly stands, a bit of dust on his face, Gwen just shakes her head and grins. I notice everyone staring at me, I kinda give them a weird look, hinting that I didn't want all that attention.
     Most of the kids look away and start talking to each other, others just stare off into the distance. "Eh, don't worry about those weirdos, they're just excited to meet a new camper" Gwen smiles at me, meanwhile, David was watching the two of us with wide, starry eyes.
  Max's POV
I sit on my cot, Neil in the tent with me, not many people know this but... me and Neil are more than friends, we're more like brothers. I mean, don't get me wrong, Nikki's a good friend, but... um... no thank you, "So that's what you think happens after death?" Neil asked flatly.
     Me and Neil are currently having a conversation about death if you couldn't already tell. "Well, yeah... what about you?" I look at Neil, he looks away from his science book at stares me dead in the eye, it sends small shivers down my spine. "I think when you die, you have a choice to have a new life or to go with the afterlife..."
     "Pfffft-" I hold in laughter, Neil starts to blush out of embarrassment and he looks away from me, back at his book. "S... Sorry dude, it's just... like, that sounds a lot more ner... scientific than my thoughts of death" I rub the back of my neck, feeling bad that I hurt Neil's feelings, he just stares at his science book blankly.

Well, this is definitely a long chapter! I hope you guys like this story so far, I worked really hard on the storyline thus far. I decided to add a bit of brotherly content for Neil and Max cuz why not? Also, my finger got smashed by the door of my step-mom's car 👌 Stay cool my peeps!
