You and your best friend are standing in the middle of the forest. She looks up in the trees and you look ahead. "I've always pictured a rope swing in one of those trees, and I've always pictured kids swinging on that rope swing." You don't take any notice to what she said. "Ell, do you ever wish people didn't think you were weird?" You said the wrong thing.
Ell looks forward, her eyes dead all of a sudden. She sighs and stands up."I'm gonna go home," she said. You hug her and walk off.
TWO WEEKS LATER
You get a text from Ell. It reads:
Hey, I just wanted to say I love you ❤️❣️
You think nothing of it, until you drive by the forest and see a body hanging from a tree. It looks like Ell, but it's hanging from a noose. You start crying.
