I woke up at six in the morning just like everyday. Putting on my contacts and the right amount of make up so I looked good to peoples standards but, not able to be accused of trying too hard. I looked into the mirror, and hated my reflection. She wasn't ugly, but she wasn't me. She was a whole different person, and I didn't like her, but she would have to do for now.
I changed into a crop top and holy black jeans. I went into the kitchen where my sister Alana was sipping her coffee. I looked at her and was immediately over come with so many feelings. How could she be so perfect? She is Gorgeous, smart, athletic, kind, and everyone loves her. I look like a washed out version of her. We share the exact same light brown skin and tight curled, dark hair, but she was taller and fully developed. Of course that is mostly because she is a senior and I am a freshmen, but part of me knows I will never live up to her.
"Is there any coffee left?" I asked her. She shrugged, and smiled her perfect smile. I rolled my eyes and checked the coffee pot. "Ala! There is barely any left! Your caffeine addicted ass drank all the coffee."
"Hey," She defended, downing her last bit of brewed heaven and putting her empty cup in the sink. "It's an addiction, I can't do anything about it, Bee."
She turned around to go to her room while I made more coffee. "What did I tell you about calling me Bee?"
Alana was now out of sight, and in her room but I could have sworn I heard her shrug. I love my sister to death, and I am so sad that she is going off to college next year.
After a nice warm dark cup of joy, and another one for Ala, we took off in her black pick up truck to the twins's house. Rena and Manuel. Rena has been my best friend since forever, and Manuel has been along for the ride forever.
We parked outside their apartment, and waited for them. Ten minutes and I called Rena, but got her voicemail, so I called Manuel. "Bueno, bebe. Que quires?"
"Bebe?" I asked.
"Aww, you know you love me." He chuckled, I rolled my eyes.
"Where are you?" I asked. just then I saw the door open and he waved, with his phone still up to his ear.
A smirk on his face. I smiled at him, and made a big show out of hanging up my phone. He shrugged and strolled down to the car, as cool as possible. Still no sign of Rena. Just as the back door of the truck opened, the apartment door opened and Rena walked down to the car just as cool as her brother had. They looked completely different despite being twins. Rena looked like their mom. Wise grey eyes, lighter caramel skin and straight brown hair. But Manuel looked like a perfect mixture of their mom and their dad. He had a bit darker skin than Rena, but dark brown almost brown hair, and mischievous brown eyes.
"Took you two long enough." Ala sighed as she began driving towards the school.
"It takes time to look this good," Manuel shrugged, then leaned forward so his elbows were on his knees, chiseled chin resting on his palms. "Isn't that right Ana?"
"What is it with you people?" I asked them, ignoring Manuels question. "My name is Ariana, call me it dang it."
"What ever you say Ari." Rena laughed. I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arms.
Walking down the hall ways of school was what I imagine parting the red sea was like for Moses. Everyone stared at us as we walked. It was embarrassing really. Only because the twins I was walking with were legend levels of popular. They were both good looking and they both knew exactly what to say and do, all the time. Little clumsy old me, not so much.
