yoongi's trust for his employees had decreased ever since then, and he could only think of one person; hoseok.

hoseok, however, had other things to do than dwell on this man. he was still thinking on how to make yoongi trust him more than anyone else. of course, he felt bad, but it couldn't be helped. he didn't want to stay trapped in this mansion for his whole life. what even was a life of you couldn't talk to anyone except your kidnapper?

he decided to get to know yoongi more. this time, he wore a grey hoodie and thin shorts. nothing too over the top, but still quite revealing. making his way to yoongi's office, he knocked quietly.
"come in." a gruff voice said from inside. peeking in, hoseok looked round just as yoongi was briefly looking up from paperwork. "oh, hoseok-ah. what's wrong?"

the boy shrugged in return, idly walking over and scanned his eyes over the excess amount of sums on crumpled pieces of paper. his attention was drawn over to calculations that would cause yoongi to loose more money and gain less profit.
"yoongi, who gave you this offer?"

the older man looked over and frowned, trying to recall who it was before smiling.
"ah- eunbin. it's a pretty good deal, don't you think?" hoseok looked at him, raised an eyebrow before shaking his head.

"no 'cause, if you if she's charging you a million for just a ton, and you can't pay over a million or else they'll charge you extra, that would mean you would pay more than necessary- you should only be paying her half of it. not to mention, you'll also be paying for the transportation and if it gets caught, then that too."

yoongi's eyebrows furrowed as he checked to see if he was correct. to his astonishment, hoseok was in fact telling the truth.
"how did you know about million fine..?" he asked, watching hoseok swallow and shuffle on his feet awkwardly.

"lucky guess? i, uh, saw a million crossed out, so i just assumed it was.. y'know." yoongi still wasn't fully convinced. no one other than the gang leaders knew about the million fine. it was a rule everyone followed, if you paid more than a million for something small such as drugs, you needed to pay extra.. what was hoseok not telling him?

the younger male couldn't meet his gaze, and instead looked at the ground.

"father.. i don't want to run your business. i want to be a doctor."
hoseok's dad looked up, narrowing his eyes.
"what? what do you mean, a doctor?"
"i want to help people, not kill them."

he scoffed before laughing. "it's just a phase son, you'll get ove-"

"no! it's not- i don't want to run your stupid business. it's cruel and it's not right." his dad got up from where he was sitting. his expensive suit was creased and hair was messy, but his face was a portrait of anger. scared, hoseok took a step back, suddenly frightened.

"your brothers never disappointed me. you've always been the weakest out of all of them, never the one who got into fights. you couldn't even kill someone who tried to fucking kill you. and now you're telling me you want to be a dumbass doctor? they never wanted to be that."

"yeah and they died, father. i don't wanna die, nor do i want others to."

the man shoved his son away, turning away as if he couldn't bear to look at him. "get out of my face, you goddamn disappointment." he spat.
"but father-"
"i said, get OUT." his hand flung out, connecting with hoseok's cheek, the slap echoing around the room horribly.

shocked, hoseok nodded, holding his stinging cheek as tears sprung to his eyes. "a-as you wish, sir."

yoongi needed to find more about hoseok.
