"holy shit! kook?" hoseok exclaimed, unable to process that his old second-hand man was in front of him right now.

"hobi? where the hell have you been? ever since you left your fathers gang, the jung's have been.. well that bastard min yoongi took over most of the area." hoseok listened in fascination before raising an eyebrow at jungkook's expensive attire.

"you still in dad's gang?"
"i had to leave before yoongi found out i was part of it. he gave me a pimp offer thing after his other one tried to kill him."
"ah.. aren't you scared of him doing something to you?" jungkook laughed dryly before shrugging.
"oh he will. i just don't care no more." adjusting his suit, jungkook looked down at his friends ripped clothes.

"did you.." hoseok nodded to cut him off, lip quivering. "who did it?"
"wonho." jungkook let out a frustrated  sigh, eyebrows furrowing.
"that fuckin' bitch. wait till i lay my hands on him-" hoseok held his hand up, stopping jungkook. he shook his head sadly before walking out of the cramped stall they were in, stumbling in the process. the younger held him up, patiently waiting for the pain in his behind to go.

"here, take this." jungkook took his thick coat off and placed it on hoseok, which helped to cover his upper body. with the support of jungkook, they walked out, into the cold streets.

"don't you have a driver of something?" hoseok teased, wrapping the coat tighter around himself.
"yeah but he's parked at the front of this stupid club, so i'll tell him to pick us up from here. i'll drop you off at yoongis, don't worry."

though a small gesture, hoseok was touched that jungkook would go through all that hassle just to make sure he was safe. his kindness made him tear up, catching jungkook off guard.
"hoseok- what's wrong?" shaking his head in return, the elder sniffled and looked away whilst muttering under his breath, "you must think i'm so pathetic.."

"what? hyung, never! ever since i first met you, i thought you were amazing. going against your dad to become a doctor? your dad is a scary person, but you did it. so no- you're the least pathetic person ive met. and i've met quite a few." hoseok perked up a little at jungkook's words, a small smile on his face. jungkook returned the smile warmly before his phone started ringing.
"it's the driver. c'mon, let's go."

as the car drove down brightly lit streets, nothing was said between the two. hoseok was too busy worried about what yoongi was going to do if he told him what happened. would he kill wonho? probably. would he yell at him? maybe.

it was ironic, really. just a few years ago he took over one of the most feared groups in the whole of asia. now, he was shaking as he played the most likely scenario in his head.

"we're here." hoseok gulped and looked outside, his eyes meeting the huge house before looking at jungkook uncertainly.
"can't you just take me so i can live my life again.." he whispered, a sad sigh leaving jungkook.
"i wish i could, but yoongi would hunt you down, y'know. i'll make an excuse for you, okay?"

dejectedly, hoseok turned and watched as the car slowed. the driver was greeted with a female voice asking clearly, "who is it?"

"jeon jungkook. he's with jung hoseok."
there was a short silence then another, higher buzz alerted them that the gates were opening.

"fuck, yoongi's there." hoseok cursed under his breath, seeing the man walk out and stare with cold eyes. the vehicle pulled up and came to a halt directly in front of him. jungkook edged his way in front of hoseok and swung the door open, a smile on his face.

"yoongi! long time no see bud. how are you on this fine evening night?" he asked, a little too brightly.
"hoseok." he muttered, eying the two. he shivered at the way yoongi said his name, and looking at jungkook for help.

"ignore me then. anyway. i bet you were wondering why your beloved wasn't home at the clock, right?"
yoongi narrowed his eyes and stood up straighter, expecting an answer. jungkook continued with his rambling. "well he was with me. we got a little, you know-" he mimed drinking something. "- and well, i had to take him back to his uh.. lover? whatever you two are. so, here ya go." jungkook gave hoseok a light tap to get him out of the car.

hoseok scrambled out, his jacket slipping and exposing his bare chest.
"what the fuck-" yoongi grabbed jungkook's collar and hauled him closer. "what did you do?"

"me? nothing. it was someone else." jungkook said calmly, patting yoongi's hand. the other let go, before snapping his fingers. a line of women appeared right away and escorted hoseok into the grand building.
"come in."

"what? haha, it's fine-"
"i won't ask again, jeon."

"always so feisty."

jungkook had been in multiple mansions, but out of all of them yoongi's was the most amazing. even though the man who owned it wasn't the best person in the world, he certainly had good taste. he stared in awe as they walked through a long hallway and up stairs until finally, they reached his room.

as soon as they sat down, yoongi spoke. "what happened to hoseok?"
"maybe if you went with him, you would know."
"listen kid, you know who i am. don't test my patience."
"he was taken advantage of whilst drunk." jungkook stated bluntly, getting up and trailing his hand on the surface of the table. "mahogany, is it?"

"by who."
"such a nice colour too."
"by who." jungkook hesitated for a second. should he say?

"by someone. where'd get the table?"
"jungkook, dammit."
"lee hoseok. from the jungs."

yoongi leaned in, resting his head on his hands.
"did you know that jung hoseok used to be from there too?"
"what?" the elder man got up, his eyes alert. "what do you mean?"

"i mean, my dear yoongi. your hoseok was part of the gang who killed your family."
jungkook turned back to face him, smiling.
"but he didn't tell you. did he?"
