Emma looked at her mom, raising an eyebrow. She put down her phone and gazed into her mother's eyes. Something was definitely wrong. Her mom never got emotional over anything. Even during her kindergarten graduation, didn't shed a tear.

"M-mom? Is everything okay?" Emma asked.

"It's Faith," her mom barely managed to say. Emma's eyes widened. Had Faith been hurt? Was she alright? That's why she didn't answer her texts. She ran out into the living room and past her sobbing mom to leave when she heard a two words in the same sentence, that should never have been on the news. Faith Daniels. Emma slowly turned her head to see Faith's name on the television screen. She sat down watching the News, listening to every word.

"A young girl, Faith Daniels, has drowned in the lake near the old abandoned church. Some say it's a murder, others an accident. Even some call it a suicide," said the woman on the screen. A tear rolled down Emma's burning cheek. Her mom sat next to her hugging her tightly.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so so sorry!" Her mother cried into Emma's shoulder. Emma just looked forward, traumatized.
