Study hours at the library became harder to concentrate with Hanbin around.
He would always be seated opposite to you or sometimes besides you. Hanbin was such a raconteur and always had a ludicrous stories to keep you entertained, he was so funny you'd get into trouble for laughing too loud but that didn't bother you because every moment with him took away the melancholic shadow of yours and made you felt special.
You gradually became close, spending most of your time together but nothing had ever went beyond the little bond you had as friends.
You were both at the library, you were reading and he casually dozing. Out of the blue he leaned his head on your shoulders sighing softly. You thought it was just his usual way of getting bored after being so hyped up but that day meant something else, He took your hands that were rested on your side and said,
" Y/N do you ever feel different about me? "
You thought it was silly,with a smile you replied,
"Of course, you're the best out of the people I have"
He smiled proudly then stretched his arms childishly and complained,
" I'm so bored! " He looked back at you as though you could make things better.
" What do you want to do? " You asked raising an eyebrow.
"Eat? " He suggested mischievously like there was a catch to that.
"We just ate" You said returning to your reading.
He turned you to face him,
"Not now, I meant later, not just any place but somewhere fancy with candles, maybe even a chandelier, and slow music"
You stared at him,
" Hanbin are you asking me out on a date?" You said as a joke
His smile lit up,
" I am,you in?"
" You could've told me sooner make me pick out an outfit or go shopping at least" You argued, still continuing your sense of humor.
" That's a yes then? " He asked, the way he said it was so sincere you stopped your smile
"Wait- don't tell me your serious? " You said with a laugh
"I am, I'm very serious about this" He said with a straight face that produced butterflies in your stomach,
" You are too right? "
You blushed covering up your excitement,
" I can't refuse you've already set up the whole thing... That'd be cruel of me "
He tucked your hair behind your ear you could tell he was nervous,
" See you at six then " He said
" I'll text you the location "
Then he ran off leaving you all alone to explode with your emotions.
'What if it meant nothing' you thought. You had always cherished your friendship with him but at the same time always had feelings for him and you didn't want to lose him over anything.

You were all ready at around five thirty. You kept checking your messages for any Hanbin message but couldn't get any recent ones.
You impatiently strolled around your room, wasting time.
When the appointed time came you became more anxious calming yourself.
Your phone beeped and you were glad to see Hanbin's text which said he was standing at your doorsteps.
He was dressed stunningly, hair push back, a fine black tux finishing off with a cute beam on his face.
Hanbin had been so impressive that night, he took you to a gorgeous restaurant you told him it needn't had to be too much as you were fine with anything (as long as you're with him)
He simply smiled and said,"as long as it's for you, nothing else mattered ".
Those words meant so much to you.
That night was just about the two of you,
It made you so happy but everything felt just the same as you weren't quit sure if any of this meant anything to him.
But every time your eyes met, you just wanted him to stay forever.
Hanbin moved his hand over to you holding it warmly in his palms as he watched you puzzled.
"Y/N I'm sorry I took so long to say this" He started off his voice shaky and Unstable,
"I've loved you for so long now, call me a coward for keeping it sealed for quite a while, I've held it back because I was afraid to lose you but I thought of chancing it as you're always worth the shot"
You started at him in disbelief struggling to find the right words to say,
"Hanbin... " You breathed.
" Y/N I love you " He confessed leaving your whole emotions to rise like the tides.
You blushed a warm sensation creeping beneath you,
" I love you too " You said avoiding his captivating brown eyes
He face lit up with the brightest smile unable to believe what he heard from you,
" I'm so glad I found you " He said with a goofy smile then shook himself off and laughed,
" So cringe..." Hitting himself
You burst out laughing at him then slowly slipped your hands into his,
He rested his chin on his hand and looked at you.
You thought of so many things,the past, the wounding heartaches that tore you apart but when you thought of Hanbin you could literally feel the gloom inside your veins fading and you knew this was what you needed all your life- Saving.
