Hi there, friends! I'm so glad you've decided to be on this reading/writing journey with me, but before you dive in there's something you should know. While this story is a work of fiction it deals a lot with the topic of mental health, which is very much real. My journey with mental health, much like Delthea's and I'm sure many of you, started when I was young. So if you're reading this and you yourself have anxiety, depression or any other mental health illness in the book I want you to know something. Your life and your journey is SO important. Regardless of what you've been through or how mental health takes its toll on your life, you are valuable. Don't make the heartbreaking mistake of convincing yourself that you are anything less than amazing because you have anxiety or depression. These mental health illnesses are a part of us, but they don't define who we are. As you read this book my hope for any reader, whether you struggle with a mental health illness or not, is that you would come to understand mental health more, and take the steps to either find help or be the help that people need. Here in the 21st century, we have a world of resources at our fingertips, so if you need it don't be afraid to find the help you need. Thanks for reading everybody!
Happy reading!
