suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. turning around, he saw mark staring back at him with a look jaehyun couldn't read.
the younger silently spoke, 'can i talk to you, jae?'
jaehyun rapidly nodded, following his best friend into the empty art classroom.
'listen, jae, uh. i've kind of been meaning to tell you something for a while now...'
jaehyun motioned the other to continue, upon noticing mark's insecurity.
'...i'm gay.' he breathed out.
the brunette felt a weight being lifted off his heart. he had expected something bad, like 'i'm dying' or 'i'm moving schools'.
jaehyun smiled widely and engulfed his younger best friend into a tight hug. 'mark that's fine, you know i'm always here for you.' he muttered into mark's hair as he tightened the embrace.
the older heard mark sigh in relief as he pulled out of the hug. 'and i've kind of got a crush too.'
'wait what?'
'i said kind of.'
'MARK LEE HAS A CR-'
'oh why don't you say it louder, i don't think everyone heard you!' the younger hissed. 'it's lee donghyuck.'
'you mean the loud kid from music class? yeah i know him.' jaehyun replied, earning an eye roll from mark.
'anyway, we should get going.' the black haired boy said while grabbing jaehyun's hand, pulling him towards the entrance.
walking down the hallway, the brunette saw the familiar pink hair peeking from behind the wall. he smiled when taeyong locked eyes with his.
'hey tae!' jaehyun greeted, causing the other to giggle and wave in response.
'you're drooling. jaehyun, do you have something to tell me?' mark snickered, wiggling his eyebrows.
'shut up, marker.' jaehyun grunted, turning his head away to hide his blush.
