taeyong could swear he felt tears pricking at his eyes.

in front of him was the boy he fell in love with, confessing in the way he had always dreamed of.

''taeyong, when i first started receiving your notes, i was so happy, i felt loved. i was too excited to even think about the possibility of you not being a girl, like i'd expected, that i acted... well, weird. i wanted to apologize- taeyong, you okay there?''

the said male blinked a couple of times, trying to understand why jaehyun had suddenly stopped speaking.

''tae? babe, you're spacing out...''

the pink haired boy violently shook his head upon brusquely finding himself back onto his couch, with jaehyun's arm wrapped around his waist while the other was playing with his hair. he heard jaehyun chuckle lowly while caressing the older's back.

''what were you thinking about?'' he questioned, smiling at his boyfriend.

"nothing... just- do you ever think about how we got together? like all the notes i used to send you?" taeyong asked.

jaehyun smiled even wider. "wait here."

he got up from the couch, rushing to their shared bedroom. a couple of minutes passed and the brunette reappeared from behind the door, holding a small box in his hands. he plopped himself next to taeyong.

"what's this?" the older asked, watching jaehyun open the box, and gasping once he saw its contents.

inside of it, taeyong saw several familiar pink sticky notes scattered around. memories of his past habits came back flooding into his mind, making tears well up in his eyes.

it had been a solid 6 years since he last saw those notes. both taeyong and jaehyun made it through high school, with jaehyun now training to take over his father's company and taeyong in university, secretly wishing for a career as a model (as suggested numerous times by both his boyfriend and friends).

he picked up one of the notes, carefully reading the text.

"dear jaehyun,

you looked really happy today! i was glad to see your beautiful smile shine all day. i hope whatever it was that made you smile so brightly happens again, you deserve to feel joyful like that :)
i won't reveal who i am, but i do plan on leaving you notes like this as often as i can.
stay happy!

taeyong read all of them, one by one, under the loving gaze of his boyfriend, until he reached an unfamiliar blue sticky note, stuck to the bottom of the box. he frowned, slowly ungluing it from where it was. he lifted it up to his eyes and started reading what it said slowly, not noticing jaehyun smile widely in front of him.

"dear taeyong,

i would like to start by asking where on earth you found these pink sticky notes?? i could only find blue ones. pink would have been better, but i guess i'll use this one then.

i can't explain how happy, loved and appreciated you made me feel all these years. i couldn't have asked for someone better. you taught me real love. even though we had our fights, we stayed by each other, and i'm unbelievably glad that we did. because taeyong, i love you more than words can tell, i love you to death, to the moon and back, i love you
more than i've ever loved anyone.

so, taeyong...

...will you marry me?

ayyy so we finally reached the end!!!! this was so fun to write, ik it's short but don't worry i will write more jaeyong in the future!

i really enjoyed writing this and i hope you guys liked it too :)

i initially wanted to publish more books but for now i think i'll just focus on my oneshots book because school is starting and i've got a very difficult year ahead of me so it'll be hard to maintain more than 2 books. however i'll try my best to update regularly and after the school year ends i *might* publish a new fic.

i have so many ideas for new fics but sadly i won't be able to pursue all of them :( my initial enthusiasm for writing new books kinda faded away,,, please don't get me wrong i LOVE writing and i especially love doing it for you guys but i fell less enthusiastic starting a new book or chapter now then i used to be.

that being said, i wanted to conclude this essay by saying that my oneshot book may be my last book. i really want to keep writing at least two more fics before i stop but i don't know if i'll manage.

i promise i'll try my very best though!
