Narutos Birthday

I made this for Narutos birthday~
I made a story for Sasukes birthday, so I decided to make a story for Narutos birthday as well. It's only fair, right? :)

Naruto was sitting alone at the lake of Konoha, staring at the clear, wavy blue waters that were as light as his eyes, it was his birthday. He hadn't felt more sad as he did then. Sure, it was his birthday, but his birthday was also the day Kyuubi attacked. The day he got the Kyuubi sealed inside him.

He was sad, he was lonely, he felt awful. He felt like it every year on October 10th. His birtbday was on October 10th did you know? Well now you do.

He sighed to himself, not feeling the presence of someone coming up from behind him, he felt a tap on his shoulder, he became defensive(like the ninja he is) and he turned quick as a flash, only to calm as he realised it was only his team-mate, Sasuke Uchiha.

"Oh, it's just you teme." Naruto said casually, Sasuke rolled his eyes, "You were supposed to meet Kakashi at the bridge today." Sasuke informed, still mainting his always-bored expression, Narutos eyes widened "WHAAAT!! I COMPLETELY FORGOT!" He yelled, Sasukes eye twitched then he just sighed an agrivated sigh, "Stop being so loud, dobe" he berrated, Naruto crossed his arms and huffed, "Whatever," Sasuke looked at him and asked, "Why are you here anyway?" Naruto thought of an answer then uncrossed his arms and shrugged, "Wanted to be alone. It's my birthday, you know, I like being alone then." Sasuke continued to stare, "It's your birthday?" he asked, Naruto looked at the ground and nodded, "Yep, I'm not surprised you didn't know teme!" he laughed,  though even to him it sounded hollow and fake, Sasuke must have picked up on that too, "Oh. Happy birthday then, dobe." he said simply, still looking as empassive as always, Naruto grinned widely then put his arm around Sasukes shoulder, "Teme!" he said affectionately, well as affectionate as Naruto can be, Sasukes mouth twitched into a small half-smirk-half-smile thing then shrugged Narutos shoulder off him then started walking off, "Come on dobe," he stopped suddenly, turned his head to look at Naruto and said, "We've still got time to train with Kakashi," he continued walking away, Naruto nodded quickly, "Right!!" he chased after Sasuke, grinning all the while.

As he and Sasuke walked to the training grounds, side-by-side, Naruto decided that maybe this birthday wouldn't be so sad and lonely after all.

Maybe... Just maybe...
