Scene from: The Lost Hero - The campfire at Camp Half-Blood, and the skywalk at the Grand Canyon
[Annabeth's POV]
"Wazzup, mah homies?!" Travis Stoll bellowed, standing with his arm slung over his brother, Connor's shoulders. "Are y'all ready to PARTY!?"
The entire dining pavilion erupted in cheers, campers throwing up their arms, waving in excitement.
Travis belched. "As being known, four months from this day was the day of our triumph over KRONOS!"
More whooping and hollering, the campers stomping their feet.
Annabeth relinquished her own excitement by sliding closer to Percy where they sat, mingled with all the other campers around the roaring camp fire, its flames blazing bright green in the evening light. Percy wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, his warmth comforting in the late evening.
"It's a nice night," he murmured into Annabeth's ear.
Annabeth nodded. "It's beautiful."
Travis walked back and forth in front of the fire. Glancing at Annabeth for a millisecond, he winked.
Annabeth groaned.
Travis then yelled in a sing-song voice, "and in recognition to the defeat of the Lord of Time, I also must give a personal congratz to my all time favorite couple's four-month anniversaryyyyyyyy!"
Campers cheered, many wolf-whistling as the spot light was turned on Percy and Annabeth sitting side by side on the nearest bench.
Annabeth rolled her eyes at Travis, while Percy blew a kiss to the crowd, sending the campers into a frenzy of laughs.
Travis waved back the crowd's attention. "Tonight, we have a special presentation brought to you from the one and only Apollo cabin! With some help from our Satyr friends, of course."
The fire roared violet blue, as four Apollo campers walked to the front, two carrying guitars, one with a cello, and another with lyre. A crew of Satyrs came forth, Grover among them, with panpipes around their necks.
Annabeth muttered to Percy. "I wonder how they got a hold of mortal musical instruments..."
Percy smirked. "I wouldn't doubt our host of the evening is the one behind it."
Annabeth laughed.
Travis got the crowd riled up, throwing his arms up in the air, grinning like he was the savior of the day. "That being said," he continued. "LET'S PARTY!"
The fire blazed an array of brilliant multicolors, showering the night with shades of red, blue, yellow, orange, green, and violet.
Grover and the Satyrs played their nature music with such radiance the trees surrounding the dining pavilion swayed to the music, their leaves furling, their branches spinning. The Apollo kids played a brilliant quartet, their music ringing into the night, campers mingling with each other, nymphs, nereids, and siblings alike. They danced all night long, Chiron allowing no curfew that night, the harpies having to sit glumly in the camp kitchens not having to hope for any snacks the next morning.
Percy and Annabeth danced the night away, cooperating perfectly to the music being played - quick swinging to the more active music, and falling into a quiet slow dance when the tunes turned slow and sweet.
As Annabeth watched the other campers, she saw Clarisse dancing with Chris Rodriquez, Grover putting away his panpipes to dance with Juniper. The Stolls had each found a wood nymph to can-can with, and even Chrion was dancing with a few of the Aphrodite girls, doing what looked to be a game of Chase the Tail, the group dancing in a circle, the campers backing up and giving them space, clapping along to the Apollo kids' music.
