~Chapter One~

Light was beginning to peak its way through the natural cracks of the wood Allainna had used for her make shift shack, piercing her eyes, even with her lids drawn over them. With a lighthearted swear and a quick shimmy of her body she rolls onto her stomach, crisis adverted, at least that's what she thought. She begins to relax again and then it begins, the small cabin-for-one starts to rumble and jump, eventually throwing her out of her blankets. What in the name of Aldron- The cabin begins to slowly tip over, her and her things in tow. Allainna throws the makeshift door open and throws her things out onto the ground, then jumps down quickly after them, turning around to see what was the cause to the chaos of her interrupted sleep. Pixies. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes she lets out a slow breath and waves her hand sharply, knocking the pixies to the ground.
"Do you not have anything better to do in your spare time than to mess with someone who's sleeping?"
Of course she knew better than to think that they would respond, pixies knew nothing but tricks and giggles, no one has heard one talk in centuries. The pixies let out a few more snickers and disappear. With a long stretch and a loud yawn, Allainna finally decides it's time to get dressed and to begin again towards her destination. With a quick flick of her hand she uses some loose vine to tie her wild auburn hair into a knot and begins her journey again. Looking around she clucks her tongue and figures she must be in Pennsylvania by now, she hadn't realized how much distance she had made in the past few days, especially on foot...well not totally on foot but a good half of the way. She decides to stop for a moment and touches the ground softly, the dirt begins to shift a little and shows her exactly where she is, how far she has to go, and what other states she would have to pass through to get there.
With her eyebrow quirked and a slow forming smirk she eyes the state of New York, a very small corner of New York but New York nonetheless, and who's to say a girl can't make a small detour along her way. She rises to her feet and begins her walk again. She starts to whistle a flighty song. Looking around she begins to think about her whereabouts. I wonder if Osiris is pouting nearby or rather, sulking. With her fingers pressed to her pursed lips she lets out a shrill whistle, calling for her canine-like companion in hopes he was within 100 miles or so to hear the call. Within a minutes time she hears a rustle to her left and sees her old friend emerge from the shadows.
"You look well my dear friend," she remarks with a small smile in her voice.
He looks at her with his bright emerald eyes and snorts at her almost sarcastic tone.
"I'd be well if you could get me back to walking on two legs instead of me romping around, in this flea infested animality."
She laughs at her friends haste, almost admiring the pretty black the wolves coat had become over the years, knowing how much he longed to be in her position.
"Don't be snappy with me Osiris, you never should have went over to the Cave of Edwindor by yourself knowing what lurks in there. If your curiosity would have been at bay, you never would have been cursed to be stuck in that form for a decade any how."
The wolf rolled his eyes and added a hop to his step as he noticed where they were, as well as secretly enjoying the company of his young witchy companion.
"That's nonsense, I was taught that the curious is cat killing, not wolf and man degrading. The old sorceress is just mad I wouldn't service her with my dashing good looks and magical sufficing loins," he finally decided to remark.
Alainna took a moment to look at him and began to giggle softly to herself. She decided to reach over and scratch between his ears, hoping to put him in good spirits.
"Never the how, I was wondering if you would partake in some of the distance today, if you do we will get there by nightfall rather than tomorrow." She gave him her charming smile, hoping he wouldn't grumble too much. He lets out a small sigh and smiles through his eyes at her then nods. She jumps up in excitement and hurriedly straps her bag to his back, snapping her fingers together sharply; twice. She changes into her animality, that of which is a white owl, with eyes showing one grey and one gold that with which she was both blessed and cursed with. They set off in good hopes, her on his shoulder, perched, excitedly waiting for what was to come, as well as not knowing what they would see.
