Chapter 4

Beth's POV

It was two days later when she woke up, still somehow feeling groggy.

Steve was laying next to her sound asleep.

She got up as quietly as possible and went to the bathroom.

He stirred.

She went out to the common room quietly, feeling the pain of the sprained ankle but smiling when Happy came over to her.

"You should be resting." The sun hadn't even risen.

She sighed, "is that all anyone can ever talk about? Steve is asleep...I slept for like 2 days..."

"He's worried."

"Not when he is asleep. I'll be fine." But then she heard his sleepy, grumpy voice and groaned.

"Beth....come to bed. Its not even 5."

"I'm just up for some pain meds..." she lied.

"Well come back. The bed is getting cold."

She sighed, "I'll be there in a minute "

"Alright..."

She went and grabbed a pain pill then went back to the room.

Steve was awake.

She was hobbling.

"You should be resting."

"I'm coming to bed, aren't I? "

"You are."

"So shut up." She smiled.

He chuckled and held his arms out.

She curled into him, "I'm glad you're home."

"I'm glad to be home."

"Good."

He kissed her gently.

She closed her eyes.

"I love you."

She smiled, "love you too Steve."

He smiled and closed his eyes.

She curled up to his chest, but couldn't fall asleep. It wasn't long till she heard him snoring again.

Jess POV

Jess was up around 11 that morning.

Tony was in his office.

Jess went in and curled into his lap.

He pulled her tight and kept working, "JARVIS. Bring up the 3D prints..."

He did.

"Come look at these." he told Jess.
Jess got up and went over.

It was a prototype, a new health basis in his suit.

"Cool!"

He chuckled.

Jess was looking it over.

Beth POV

Steve woke up around 9.

Beth wasn't in the room.

He sighed and got up.

She was out with Happy and Hawkeye on the couch watching a movie, her ankle up on pillows with ice on it.
