It was August 19th, the date of the Trancy Gala. And three boys were putting their best attire for the best outcome.
The gathering started at 7:00 pm sharp, no exceptions, according to Alois.
When Y/N and Ciel arrived at the Trancy manor, they crossed gazes only once, which was in carriages. Then their aquamarine and {e/c} hues didn't touch for another three hours.
Alois saw his rival enter, soon followed by his slightly older friend.
Rushing down to greet one of the two, he acted like a giddy child on Christmas until his bipolarism kicked in.
"Y/N you're so lovely for coming. I didn't believe you would!"
He gushed.
"It's no problem Alois. Anything for y-"
"Shut up Y/N. Ruin this for me and I'll ruin your name."
He was jabbing his finger into the others face. A terrified face, in that matter.
"A-alright Alois.. I understand.."
He slowly agreed. 'What rumours could that bipolar prick spread, I wonder.'

Girl after girl, he was waltzing his life away just about. Ciel sighed. At least Elizabeth wasn't here. He smiled slightly at the thought.
Yes, Lizzy might just be putting on a faquade to make him like her, but he saw her moreso as a sister. Not the cousin that he was engaged to.
Thousands of thoughts were swirling in his 13 year old mind. 'How will Sebastian take my soul. Does he have to remove it surgically? By kissing me, or does he have to kill me then rip out my heart and consume it?'
Yep, these were his exact thoughts. Feeling a bump and the current lady letting go, he was met with a set of dazzling {e/c} eyes, a pair which he had seen before that night.
Entranced by the glittering {e/c} eyes, he grasped onto the person's hips but suddenly realized that the person was a male. Gasping inaudibly, he was shocked as he was switched into the woman's position.
'Dammit Sebastian! Is this why you always made me dance the dame's part. No wait I'm too short to be the male figure when we're dancing. The only time I'm the male is with Elizabeth or dancing during parties such as this.'
He sighed, still swaying and twirling with the mystery boy whom he'd finally remembered to be the boy from the carriages.

Unlucky for him, the music was ending and a new tune was struck up. Y/N stepped off the dance floor to return to his faithful butler whom was holding his coat and a glass of fizzing liquid. Most likely some sort of alcohol or liquor.
As the boy grasped the thin neck of the glass, sipping it a bit before removing his lips. His {e/c} hues scanned the crowd before landing on Ciel. Smiling and handing his still full glass to the black clad man, he made his way to the owner of Funtom.
"Lovely evening, no?"
The teen tried to strike up a conversation with the cerulean eyed boy, hoping to make friends with this socially awkward child.
Ciel shot y/n a side glance, immediately noticing it to be the same boy. He fixed his posture slightly before replying.
"You could say that I suppose."
He scoffed. Realistically, Ciel was enjoying him self quite a lot. No twin drilled idiot clinging to his coattail, a handsome boy was conv-
'HANDSOME BOY?!'
Ciel internally shrieked. He had no interest in men! None at all! Besides what would the media or the public think?! Quickly shoving these thoughts to the back of his mind, he slightly smiled at the boy.
"Trancy invited you, no? What's you're company. Obviously you must be in the big leagues! Or friends with that despicable Alois."
Ciel muttered the last part, hoping the latter wasn't the case. As the {h/c} boy returned his smile, his face gained a light pink tint.
"So nice of you for asking! I'm the head of Omniverse! {Y/N} Meridian! To be truthful, Alois didn't invite me for that reason. He invites me to every gathering he has. He might be some sort of dual personality but we've been friends for the longest time. I can't just refuse an offer!"
Ciel's face tightened. So they were friends. And this boy is the head of his rivalling company nonetheless. Damn. He couldn't gain affections for someone whom was set to be his own companies rival.
"That's lovely. Your parents were murdered some years back, no? Such a tragic loss I'm sure."
Ciel spoke again, mentioning one of the more sensitive topics to the boy, grinning victoriously on the inside as he winced. What the cerulean eyed boy didn't know was that his fiancée's father had killed the happy family. Of course {y/n} didn't either but Damien was helping fit pieces together.
"Might I ask your own name and company, sir?"
{y/n}'s voice rang out again.
"Ciel. Ciel Phantomhive . Head of Funtom."
Ciel replied, answering the question straight fowardly. {y/n}'s eyes widened. Damien had said that the murderer was someone linked to lord Phantomhive. Putting on quite the faux smile, he ended the conversation and returned to Damien.
Eventually bidding the eccentric blonde goodbye, he boarded his carriage and set out for his manor. Grinning, he laced his fingers together.
A sinister grin crossed his face. No, this was not {y/n} Meridian. This was the closed off side of the boy. This was his side whom lusts for revenge and for some blood, doesn't matter who's, blood to be spilled."Now remember. Revenge is a dish, best served cold."
He started giggling, but soon that melted into maniacal laughter. The boy was insane, driven crazy from his desire for revenge. Turning his head towards the butler whom accompanied the bench across from him, he spoke.
"Damien. I've found the target. Now we must figure out whom killed my parents and sisters."
