Dervish Grady: Demon Hunter

My name is Dervish Grady. I'm a new demon hunter off with Sharmila and Shark. Kernel Fleck left just a few days ago. Since then Sharmila, Shark, and I have been wandering through the forest.

We passed a lake on our first day. Since then we've been in the forest. We've been hearing weird demonic sounds but haven't see any demons.

A few days later and I spot a small demon. It was nothing like Lord Loss. This one I'm sure a kid hunter could beat. We had destroyed it but we were wondering where it had come from. A few hours later we find a weird guy and he is muttering something. We stay a few yards away behind the bushes and listen.

"May the light of heaven and the gates of hell open" he said and three small but bigger than the one before step out. They for some reason attack their summoner unaware of who he is. They smell us and head our way. There were three of us and three of them(a fair fight I guess).

I had lost my hand in the battle but by using magic I healed myself (people with magical abilities can heal themselves). Shark only had a a few minor scratches and Sharmila was pretty much unscathed. She had the smaller while I had the bigger and more powerful demon. Shark could have taken him but the bigger demon edged my way. We take a close look at the demons and we all realize they were some of Lord Loss' familiars!!!

A few weeks later we found a small city. We had survived off small animals such as squirrels in the forest. Now we seem to be able to go into a restaurant and eat some real food. We go into I small restaurant and order some breakfast. It was soo good and I almost forgot what real good taste like!! Afterwards we find a small apartment and rent it. We all have to find jobs though.

We all find a good job, especially me. I can use my magic without anyone knowing and get done faster and get paid more. We have a few things back at the apartment but I go out a buy a few things. When I was at the store, I saw this beautiful lady. I walk up to her and say hi. "Hey," she says. We get to talking about work and I invite her over for dinner. "You can meet my friends!" I say. "But be careful of Shark he can be a little weird but he was in the military and he still wears the uniform in honor of the dead." "Okay," she says.

That night at around 6:30 Melinda shows up. We have had dinner and she say, "That was really good Dervish!" "Thanks I say." She asks for wine and I'm like sure. Later we go into my room, we start doing stuff then I realize I said i wouldn't have kids. EVER!! She asks what's wrong and i say, "you wouldn't believe me even if I told you." She storms out really mad. I walk out into the living room area. Shark asks, "Dude, what happened?" "I almost did something stupid." And Shark and Sharmila understand. (If you don't understand my family is cursed and I promised never to have kids so they don't have to go through it.)

At work the next day I hear people talking about an attack right outside of the city last night. I run home and I turn the tv on. Shark and Sharmila are there. The news is on and they are talking about some attack where a person's head was torn clean off and the body severed in two. "Do you know what this means!?!?" I ask. "Yes...demons," Shark answers.
