Unexpected Adventure

Chapter 9

After putting Lisa to bed , Jennie and Jisoo decided to stay awake in the living room for a little while before calling it a night .

The past week and a half had definitely been taking a toll on them so they decided to unwind a bit with wine since they can't drink alcohol.

After settling with their drinks they switched on the television and set it to a random comedy show that popped up.

"God , it's been a while since we've chilled out ." Jennie sighed after taking a swing of her drink.

" True . This was supposed to be a break but it's turned out like a babysitting adventure..."

"Unnie , we've still not made any progress with finding a solution ....."

"Ugh!"
Jisoo just threw her head back on the couch , signalling she was just downright exhausted.

"Jendeukie , let's just not think about that . I don't want to think about anything to be honest . My head feels as if it's going to explode ."

"Yeah , I know the feeling . You ain't the only one."

This day didn't start any different from the others so I wouldn't bore you with the details .

Rosie had gotten way better than she was yesterday and if she didn't exert herself too much today she would be completely well the next day.

All the members of the dorm already had their breakfast . Jisoo was in the living room with Lisa who was intently watching a show on TV . Chaeng and Jennie stayed in the kitchen since they were in the mood to make some pudding .

"Which one should we make unnie ?"

" Mmm, I don't know either " Jennie looked deep in thought trying to see what pudding they can make with the ingredients they had in the pantry . "Let's decide on a pudding which doesn't take long to set . I don't think the baby in the living room would be able to wait for long ."

Chaeng chuckled " You mean Jisoo unnie , don't you?"

Jennie chuckled along " Who else?"

"Yah! I can hear my name being mentioned. Don't you dare make fun of me" they heard a shout from the living room.

Chaeyoung and Jennie shared an amused expression before Jennie replied " Don't keep your ears here , go concentrate on your cartoon !"

They didn't hear a reply which meant she was just doing what she was asked to .

"Oh , how about summer pudding ? It doesn't take long to set at all."

"Whoa, good thinking Rosie"

Rosie flipped her hair with her hand saying " I know my food."

Jennie just shook her  head to the antics of the younger girl .
" Alright so we need raspberries , blueberries ,  slices white bread and  fruit juice ." she listed

Chaeng went to the fridge and got all the ingredients . "We can use raspberry juice right ?"

"Oh yeah it's no problem "

They quickly got to work . It'll take a few hours to set so it would get ready right at the time for an evening snack . But they could eat it like a dessert as well.

They had just finished having their lunch and cleaning everything up in the kitchen .

Sitting on the couch they got ready to watch a romance movie that all of them had wanted to watch for a long long time but couldn't due to their schedules.
They had downloaded it and Jisoo plugged the pendrive to their TV.
