Book Title
The one word title seemed apt for the plot and it was a good choice of the author.
Book Cover
The cover features some buildings in which, a few of them are in darkness. I liked the idea of the darkness as it suggested that something ominous might be present in the book and obviously this triggers the readers.
Book Description
I think the author can add something more to the book description such as a little about the city that has been featured on the book cover. I really think that only the thoughts of the narrator about wishes are not enough to engage the readers into the book.
Plot
The book revolves around our narrator who is in London leading a life of hell. There have been lots of disasters hitting the city and wiping away lives. The book is how the narrator struggles till the end to fight for her survival.
Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar & Vocabulary
I didn't find much of noticeable errors here. The vocabulary used was simple to understand.
Writing Style, Character Development, Setting Development & Flow
The effort the author put in the book was evident from the descriptions within it. Narration was really good especially at places where the narrator talked about the city when it had life. The narrator was a bold one from soul as she tried her every bit to survive and it really broke my heart when she expressed her dissatisfaction towards the world at the end of the book. The author's approach was great when writing about the narrator searching for whatever food that she got. I also felt both the setting and flow to be good.
Creativity & Enjoyment
I really loved the way the book ended which was the idea of the diary; it turned out unexpected to me. There was one line that struck me, "May the memory of this girl never be forgotten," and I believe that it will equally struck other readers.
