Y/N POV
I was walking with my mama from the pet shop. I got a cute little turtle and I named him Donatello. My mom was surprised though because I knew such a long word for a 4 year old. He is so cute he even came with a purple spot on his back! He seemed sad though, he was so happy when he was with his brothers. I looked at my mama who was on her phone talking to someone, she never has time for me anymore. Then I looked at Donnie, he looked up at me like he was going to cry. I wondered if I went back to the pet shop mama wouldn't notice. So I slipped away I ran back to the little pet shop on 5th street. When I walked in there the clerk looked at me with confusion.
"Weren't you the little girl who just came in here?", she asked me.
"Yes I would like to return this turtle."
I walked to the turtle tank were I first got Donnie. I looked back at the clerk and she walked over and lifted up the lid.
"Why are you returning him sweetheart? Was it because he used to be tested on in a lab, Or that he is 7?"
"No he was perfect its just that he was happier with his family."
I opened Donnie's cage and he crawled on my finger. He hugged it, kinda. I cupped him in my hands and he bobbed his head. I think it was his way of saying 'thank you'. The clerk took him from me and put him back in the tank. The 3 other turtles crawled by him they were kinda in a huddle. I walked away from the tank when my mama ran in screaming,
"Y/N are you in here!?"
"Hi mama!", I ran over to her.
"Oh my lord don't you ever run away from me like that again!"
"I'm sorry mama I was returning my turtle!"
My mama looked at me weird but then just smiled. We got are money back and went home.
4 years later
I was walking home from school with my best friend bf/n. We were playing I spy with my little eye.
"I spy with my little eye, something bf/h/c!", yelled bf/n.
"Your hair!", I yelled back.
"How did you know?"
"You always start out with your hair color."
"I guess your right..Your turn!"
"I spy with my little eye something green!"
We were walking into to an alley way that would lead to are houses. Bf/n was about to say something when we heard something move.
"Y/n w- what was t- that?"
"I don't know bf/n."
"I vote you to go investigate!"
"What why me?"
"You are to 4 months older than me!"
"But were both 8 and in 3rd grade!"
Something in the shadows giggled. We both whipped are heads around. Bf/n pushed me forward and I slowly started walking forward.
"Hello?"
"Hi", I jumped back.
"Who are you?"
"Don't you remember me y/n?"
"I don't have friends that are boys because boys have kooties!"
"Even me?"
"I can't see you so I don't know weird voice coming from the shadows."
A 5ft turtle came walking out. It was wearing a purple bandana.
"Its me Donatello."
"But he was just a turtle I bought and returned from a pet shop 4 years ago.."
"Well I guess I grow fast."
"Is it really you!?"
"Yup"
You ran up to hug him and he hugged back you look to bf/n who was in thought.
"What's wrong bf/n?"
"Was this the green thing you were spying with your little eye?"
We all laughed but, we heard my mom's voice,
"Y/n, bf/n hurry up you don't want to be late for your swimming lessons!"
"Okay mom!", I yelled back.
I looked back at Donnie and he looked sad, so you said,
"Mabye we can have a play date this weekend?"
"Sure!", he cheered back.
"Hey I want to come to!", bf/n said.
"Girls come on!", your mother screamed.
"See you later Donnie!", you yelled as you ran to your mother's house.
"See ya y/n!"
