Ch.6

After me and Guzma (and Mewtwo) explained everything to the two grunts, they agreed to stay quiet and not say anything about Mewtwo to anyone else.

The next day, after they left, I decided to go straight to Ula'Ula island.

The Hokulani Observatory.

I stood in the main room with Sophocles and Molayne as the two scientists examined the strange Master ball under a strange machine that was scanning it in all angles.

"So, when will the scan be completed?" I asked, leaning closer to the machine to see if the scan was almost done.

"It should be done in a couple of minutes. Shouldn't take to long since it's only scanning a pokeball" said Molayne.

"Yah, speaking of which. Where did you find this pokeball anyway? It looks like a Master ball, but it's a darker shade of purple and has a strange red R on it. Is there a Pokémon inside of it?" Asked Sophocles, keeping an eye on the screen as the machine kept scanning.

"Uh....well....I found it inside a cave on Mount Lanakila. There wasn't any Pokémon inside of it, so I brought it straight to you to see where it came from. Maybe it'll tell us who made it" I explained, sweating nervously.

Technically, I wasn't lying about the Mount Lanakila part.

Sophocles looked up at me suspiciously, but shrugged his shoulders, turning back to the screen.

I sigh in relief.

My relief was short lived when the machine dinged.

"Huh. It appears that this spacific pokeball was manufactured and created to capture Legendary Pokémon. It was programed to capture Legendaries like a normal Master ball, but it was also given special qualities. It's unbreakable, and the captured Pokémon won't be able to escape. The only way to release the Pokémon is with a key card that only the owner has. Find the owner, you get the key. But before I reveal who the owner is, I'd like to take in account on something" said Sophocles, glancing up at me suspiciously again.

I was sweating nervously, trying not to make the contact with the short boy.

"You said there wasn't a Pokémon inside this pokeball, but the analysis from my machine STATES that there IS a Pokémon currently INSIDE this pokeball. RIGHT. NOW!" Said Sophocles angrily. He grabbed the pokeball and pushed the button, releasing Mewtwo.

"Sophocles! No, wait-!" I yelled, trying to stop him.

Too late.

Mewtwo was released from his pokeball, looking around confused and alarmed.

He spotted Sophocles and Molayne and instantly floated in front of me protectively.

"Who are you puny mortals, and what intentions do you have? Are you here to hurt the Champion? I will not allow you to step one foot closer or I will destroy you both!" Glared Mewtwo, raising his arm, trying to power up an attack.

Unfortunately, he was unable to power up a Psystrike attack and only make a small ball of psychic energy before it became unstable and burst.

Mewtwo flinched back at the weak attempt at making an attack.

He became defensive again anyway and remained in front of me.

"Mewtwo, these are two of my friends! We work together...in a way..." I said, trailing off, now thinking.
