The man in simple white shalwar kameez turned his head slightly to regard him.
"Join me," He said, standing at the edge of the floor without walls, the building was under construction. Just like in movies, the man had chosen that shady place to conduct business.
"I am fine here," He straightened his tie and inhaled, softly, staring at the man's back. He liked the air filling his lungs,
a push and he'll fall to his death, never to breathe again. It was a sobering thought, one that didn't appeal to him in the slightest with the swift realization that colluding with an enemy would most likely have the same outcome. No, he wouldn't have it.
"Why did you call me here?"
"Find me a desperate man, Saim. Someone Unkind. A loyal man such as yourself will do, too."
When humans face desperation they become animals without the possibility of any empathy.
"What do you need him to do?"
"Don't be surprised," He told him as he turned around to face him. "He needs to be able to kill. Himself or for me."
"Or you will have to in his stead."
The man wanted him to find someone who was suicidal, a murderer or a suicidal murderer or the man will make him into one. Noted.
He had never taken a life before and he wouldn't. That's where he drew the line.
"Find me someone who can kill," The man repeated, himself when he saw him contemplating silently. He didn't have to, he had heard him loud and clear the first time.
"Who?"
"You will know, eventually."

Saim met him several days, later.
"I made some inquiries," Saim shared, sitting opposite his boss in a quaint cafe. He slid a file across the table to him.
"Here," the waiter interrupted to serve two cups of steaming coffee. Saim knew he wouldn't touch it. Saim preferred his tea while he picked the cup and took a small sip.
"Sixty-five years old man, he's due to release from the hospital in a week, he was diagnosed with liver cancer some years ago. It has progressed, and he is not responding well to the treatment. The doctors have given him six months tops." Saim told him with little sympathy. "He's a gambler, an alcoholic and a wife-beater. No one has anything nice to say about him."
Saim watched him flip through the pages, he ignored the flutter of pulse in Asim's cheek, and droned on, "He can kill. He spent five years in jail for his wife's murder and he almost killed his daughter four years, ago. If you can convince him, he will do it for you."
"What of his daughter?" He glanced at Saim.
"She's a wonderful dancer, I'll arrange a meeting?"
"I will meet with the man, first," He told him and closed the file.
