At 2 minutes past noon the caves computers announce
"Recognised: Batman 01, Superman 02, Aquaman 04, Flash 05, Green Arrow 06, Martian Manhunter 07, Iron Man A1, Hawkeye A2, Thor A3, Hulk A4"
The Zeta Tube lights faded and all our mentors walked into the room. Tony was the first to speak
"As you are all here, i take it you all want to enter the final trail" Kaldur then spoke
"We've come this far together we'll finish it together" Banner then said
"Alright then, everyone hold out your left arms" we all did and seconds later there was a sharp prick on my wrist where a black cuff was now residing. I looked down the line and saw everyone else had the same cuff on, Flash was also standing at the end of the line. He then spoke
"These cuffs aren't just power inhibitors, they also allow us to measure your vitals" Hawkeye then spoke
"You will be dropped off on the island with one basic survival kit each. This kit will include: 1 multi-tool, 1 pocket knife, pliers, duct tape, 200 feet of paracord, magnesium fire starter, basic camping equipment and a basic first aid kit" Superman then said
"You will be on the island for 72 hours and will be expected to work together as one to survive"
Wally then spoke
"72 hours on island, doesn't sound that hard" i looked at Batman and then said
"There's a catch. What island is it?" Thor answered me
"The savage lands" Arty then said
"The where now?" Ava answered her
"The Savage Land is a hidden land. It is a preserve hidden in " M'gann then said
"Prehistoric? As in..." Luke cut her off by saying
"Dinosaurs. There are dinosaurs on the island"

Dicks P. O. V.
Clint offered to fly us to the island or at least supervise the flight. The quinjet has been on autopilot for the last hour. He's just been sitting reading over a SHIELD case file. We weren't allowed to wear our uniforms so we're all wearing normal everyday clothes. Before leaving we were advised to wear warm clothing because the temperature does drop at night.
The mood amongst the group was actually pretty good considering we're about to spend the next 72 hours on a prehistoric island. As I was looking between everyone I couldn't help but feel a bit sad. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Peter say
"We all wish she was here, Dick" I looked up as everyone went quiet. Before anyone else could say anything, Clint spoke
"We can't change what happened, no matter how much we want to. We cannot change the past. All we can do is wait for Elijah to be caught, because he will. He'll make a mistake and when he does he will pay for what he's done" He then turned around in his chair and said
"If I were you, I'd try and get some sleep. You're going to need your rest" Sam then asked
"How long until we get there"
"A few hours at least" After he said that he turned back around in his chair and the rest of us decided to get some shut eye.
-------------------5 hours later---------------
We were asleep for a few hours before Clint work us up by whistling and yelling
"Rise and shine kids, we're here" some of us took a little more encouragement to wake up but eventually we were all awake by the time we began the descent.
Before Clint opened the back door, he handed me my Survival pack and said
"Be careful out there. Watch out for each other, learn to work together as one... If you complete this task then everything you have been working towards would have been worth it. I'll meet you back here in 72 hours. Good Luck" And with that we all walked out of the jet.
5 minutes later the jet took off and flew away from the island. When the jet was out of sight, Wally yelled
"Coolest camping trip in history!" Arty smacked his arm and said
"Keep it down Idiot! We don't want to attract any unwanted visitors" Wally went to say something but i spoke
"She's right, Wals, we don't want to attract anything to us. Let's make this a quick and easy 72 hours. Let's go find somewhere to make camp" No one questioned me. Instead we all just started walking into the jungle to find a good campsite
It took us a while but we finally found a good camp site. The site is in an enclosed area but not so enclosed that we can't see anything potentially sneaking up on us. Our camping mats and blankets are set up in a circle around the campfire underneath a clearing between the trees.
Just as I finished placing my mat on the ground, Luke said
"So who's getting dinner?" Connor then said
"What are we going to have for dinner?" As he finished off the fire, Peter said
"Well there's a river not that far, we could probably get some fish. Or we go hunting for something else" Danny then said
"I think fish would be less likely to attract anything else" Artemis then spoke
"He's got a point guys. Is everyone alright with fish" we all said 'yes' before Kaldur said
"Alright then. Artemis, Luke, Danny, M'Gann, Wally, you go down to the river to get some fish and some water, We'll purify it when you get back. The rest of us will make sure we've got enough fire wood and make sure the camp is secure" no one argued with him, we all just got on with what we were supposed to. Honestly at this point we're all feeling the same. Emma worked her whole life to do this and it's not fair she's not here.
By the time we had finished eating our dinner the sun had gone down and it was pitch black around us. The only light we had was the medium sized fire in the middle of the circle. When we all finished eating there was silence. Danny was the one to break the silence by saying
"You know we never spoke about what happened?" Luke then said
"What do you mean?" Danny sat up and replied
"What happened to Emma. We never talked about it?" I coughed and said
"I'm gonna get some more firewood" I started walking away but then Wally said
"I'll come with. You said we should stay together"
As we got to a clearing away from the group I said
"You didn't have to come Wals" He looked at me and said
"You're the one that said we should stay together. Plus i wanted to talk to you" I began picking up some sticks whilst saying
"Talk about what?"
"Jason called me the other day"
"Yeah"
"He's worried about you man. He said when he last saw you that you were kind of distant... Is everything okay?" I stood up straight and said
"Honestly?"
"Dude it's me, come on" I turned to look at him fully before saying
"I've started looking for Elijah on my own terms" He went to reply but stopped when we heard a crash sound.
I dropped the sticks on my hand and turned towards the source of the sound. Whatever the cause, the sound came from the other side of a nearby hill and it was definitely metal. I glanced back at Wally before slowly making my way towards the hill. He caught up quickly and whispered
"Dude we should go back and get the others"
"It might be nothing"
"Or it could be something" I didn't stop and he kept following. As we reached the top of the hill, we crouched down a bit so we weren't seen.
On the other side of the hill was a large group of people in black suits and they were all carrying some sort of weapons. They had machinery that looked like they were digging. When one of the machines spun around, I saw the insignia on the side.
