We underestimate nature so much! But did you know that all it takes to move on in life are the gentle ruffling of leaves and the cool wind blowing through your hair? There are times when you're at the edge of a heartbreak, feeling as if the whole world has deserted you only to find Mother Nature smiling and beaming at you as she awaits for you to run into her lap. Read on to feel Nature at it's best: a lonely walk in autumn ,crossing the moors can work wonders...
A black figure was striding upon the damp earth, pensively staring ahead. the unwithered, cool canopy of a million vermilion and crimson leaves didn't soothe her mind. The twigs crunched with a crack beneath her feet, piercing the melancholy silence. The open, blue sky above could only be observed in fractions, disrupted by the colossal orange cover above. The air was heavy with the welcoming, fresh smell of the wet soil, tickling into one's nostrils and cleansing the soul. A chaste look spread across the figure's face, which was until late, a lake of tears. her pitch-black cloak swayed and fluttered to the rhythmic music of the wind, drawing her in.
Morphed and smudged across the entire path were indescribable hues of ruby, saffron, yellow, merging into one entity. a myriad of bugs and crawlers were reigning upon the ground; with every step, they disappeared into the incisive bends of the land. The woods stood up tall and proud, boasting to the world their majesty and greatness.Every leaf on every branch seemed to be a work of art, every node a result of utmost delicate and precise calculation. a few drops of dew plummeted from the great heights and ran over her body, but she didn't notice. Her entire soul and body screamed for attention, begging to rest aloof for a while, to let go of the past, but nevertheless, she carried on. Her hands warmed in her pockets but she was wary of this too. The empowering, soft-pitched chirping of the birds didn't broke her reverie and neither did the crunching beneath her feet. Her face was devoid of all emotions, her insatiable nature satisfied, the blemish that once felt unbearable upon her heart erased, a new soul was reborn.
A leaf fell from a nearby tree, gently twisting and turning with the wind as it danced across the air, tumbling and toggling as if an invisible dancer was sprinting through the air, holding it. It rested upon her shoulders and at the same moment, jerked off. A scrumptous, lavish odour of grapefruit and peaches sizzled across the moor, filling her with utter lust for a bite. She seemed to evade any kind of moment, except her own's, reiterating some unconnected words like a small child. The arbitrate moment of the leaves impinged on her soul, as she reflected on the randomness of life. Her audacious steps were heard by none, but the instinct of being watched never ceased.
Her eyes were fixed upon the road ahead, a resplendent mix of breezy winds and sunny patches, inviting and amiable, but which seemed to mock upon her dark, dead soul. Ever step was like another, every tree, bird, flower just like the previous one. Her mind grew numb:she didn't notice the moss engulfing the tree, nor was she able to appreciate the gentle sparkling voice of a river nearby; she was oblivious of the vivacious, golden marigolds spreading out like the sun nor did she capture the delight of a fox cub cuddling up to it's mother. She neither loved nature nor abhorred it. Slowly, her mind trained itself for the entire world likewise. She kept on walking, striging across the moor, her shadow suddenly leaving her company, as she vanished into the shimmering, bright road ahead, a forgotten spirit, unruffled by the past.
If y'all want a backstory please feel free to ask for it. Also welcoming any suggestions. Thanks, boo ;)
