Chapter 10: The fight

3rd POV
As the girls donned their armor they stood a few feet apart in the throne room surround by a few members of parliament from there home and the family of Asgard. They have chosen their preferred weapons. the one thing that wasn't aloud was magic. It was traditional combat between 2 individuals. It gives each opponent equal odds.
As they stepped out into the grand room, everyone had held their breathes.
Victorias armor was golden, with intricately made metal work, Her back had wing- like details. Her helmet had only covered her forward with feathers flowing back, as her hair was done with a simple bun.
Roses armor was silver. Her helmet which also only covered her forehead had rose thorns etched out on the sides and flowing back towards her ponytail. Her chest plate had roses growing from the bottom and meeting at the center of her chest. Both girls wore simple pants with only the armor coving their thighs matching the metal of the top. They were giving Spears native to their realm with various details matching their armor. They walked to the middle of the throne room and began to bow to each-other as the oldest member of parliament begin the battle. "May the best woman win!" he shouted. Victoria started to thrust her spear in hers sister direction. Using the back of her spear, Rose had hit the tip away from her sister as she spun around and hit the side of her body sending Victoria a bit away from her sister.  As both girls kept dodging, and retaliating. Rose was calm and collected when she was planning her next attack, but Victoria was getting impatient. When Rose has knocked her back once more enraged, she threw a spell sending the spear faster than Rose could try to dodge. It wen through her atomic and implanted it self above her hip. The room gasped as Rose fell to her knee. Thor went to help her but the king had held him back. "We mustn't interfere, if we do it only will make the battle worse. Until one yields, they are at a standstill." He said as Thor nodded and watched his beloved Rose pull the spear through her wound. Knowing she had broken the rules she wouldn't not let her win. Tossing the bloody spear back Rose stood up shakily as she took her stance. "Is that the best you have, sister?" Rose taunted as Victoria grabbed her spear and ran towards her sister with a war cry. Relentless Victoria kept trying but in a moment of breathe rose had spotted her opportunity. She hit her sisters chest knocking out her breathe. She took her dropped spear and stood above her with both ends at her neck. Breathing heavily from the adrenaline and loss of blood, she shouted "YIELD!!" As Victoria begrudgingly answered "I yield.." she said as Rose took both weapons and threw them aside as the room erupted with cheers. Victoria got up and walked to the door. But the cheers were quickly silenced when 2 of the guards stopped Victoria at the door. "Victoria Genevieve Moonshade!" Shouted the oldest member of parliament "you've broken a sacred rule in this battle and will be faced with treason of the 3rd degree. When you get back home your trial awaits" he said as Victoria look shocked at the man and started crying as the guards from her Kingdom grabbed her and escorted her back home to face her charges. Thor has finally ran up to Rose as she was shaking hands with various members about her victory. He took her hands a kissed them both as she smiled. "My Rose, you've fought well today." He said as he then kissed her forehead and hugged her but as she relished in the fact she finally had no more obstacles in her path, everything had caught up to her as she began to fall. "Rose? Rose!" Thor yelled as he caught his fainting bride, as they sat o the floor He noticed her wound bleed more excessively than he realized. He picked her up and stared to dash to the healers. As he was running with a few following behind him he whisper to her. "I shall never let you go again, and I will protect you with my life.." he promised as he hoped to save his love.
