Kinda The Infernal Devices

-------------

Okay, so my friend mentioned how she doesn't like Will Herondale that much, and another friend started to freak out. My friend and I began listing off reasons why Will Treaty is better, and then we had a whole dissension of us pretty much saying how awesome Will Treaty is. After a while, my friend posted this, and it brought tears to my eyes.

John Flanagan gave me what every fangirl wants: an insight into almost the characters' entire lives. During this time, Will Treaty's wife died, Will suffered from a drug addiction brought on because he needed to save a girl he didn't even know from a group of pirates and was incarcerated, he befriended a horse, made best friends with childhood enemies, and learned from the (many) mistakes he made with the help of his absolutely amazing teacher.  He was clueless about most things girl-related, and it made him adorable. Even when faced with threats everyone else believed impossible, he carried through. During the last book, he was mildly depressed, but he managed to completely turn around one 15 year old girl's life. I understand how William Herondale may mean a lot to you, but I followed Will Treaty throughout most of his life; through many books claiming to be the last in the series, and the one book where the time line was jacked up. I love Will Treaty with every fiber of my being, and although Mister Herondale was an okay character, he will never, ever replace the spot in in my heart especially reserved for my Will Treaty.

Its beautiful, and I have never been more proud to be friends with this person.
