Present Day~ Third P.O.V:
"I've never been on an airplane before." Ava states and Nate glances back at her. They were sitting in a rental car, driving down the road towards the airport. "And I definitely do not have a passport, so how are we going to leave the country?"
"We have a private jet." Nate states and Ava looks impressed.
"So, you're Archer, aren't you?" Ava questions and Nate bonks his head against the headrest. Felix chuckles to himself, smiling ever so slightly. "What?"
"It's nothing, I just haven't been called that in a long time." Nate mutters, rubbing his head as he glances out of the window. He then gazes back at Ava, who was in the back seat, while he was in the passenger seat. "You are positive that your parents are on that trip of theirs?"
"Noooo, you're the one that suggested that they were on that trip. They could be out grocery shopping for all we know." Felix slams on the brakes.
"What?" Felix shouts, turning to look back at Ava and she laughs nervously, rubbing the back of her neck.
"There's only a small chance of that though. They usually leave a note of where they are going, so that's why it is highly unlikely about the grocery shopping part." Nate sighs, rubbing his temples now as a headache starts throbbing in his head.
"So, we could be kidnapping you right now." Felix grumbles, his knuckles white on the steering wheel as he starts moving the car again.
"Yeah, basically." Ava grins and Nate just shakes his head, a smile taking over his face. "We need to go shopping though."
"Why?"
"I'm going to need clothes for our little excursion."
"Great, usually we don't go shopping."
"Neither does Papa."
"Ha, we know. He hated shopping. Especially for gifts."
About 20 Years Ago~ B's P.O.V:
"I don't think children need this many gifts." Peter growled as he entered the apartment again, carrying a lot of bags.
"Oh, stop complaining, we still need to wrap them and get them packed." I muttered, entering with slightly fewer bags than Peter.
Peter puts the bags on the ground. "Count me out of that." He then walks away and I watch his back as he heads to our room. I frown before setting the bags down and heading to the closet to grab the wrapping papers. I walk back into the living room to see Nate looking through the bags and I smile.
"Is someone volunteering to help me?" I tease and he glances up at me.
"Sure. I have nothing else to do." Nate mumbles and I give him a sympathetic smile. "How many people are you giving gifts to?"
"Well, there's Neil, who isn't really a baby anymore... David, who's three, Henry... he's almost an adult... And I think that's the only people I got gifts for." I grin and sit down on the floor, grabbing presents and toys out of the bags and setting them down beside me. Nate starts copying me until all of the gifts are un-bagged, the bags balled up and thrown into the doorway to the kitchen. "Okay, the electronic items are for Henry. The childish stuff- borderline baby- are for David, and the older child toys are for Neil. I can't even tell how old he is... I don't even know how old I am... How old am I?" I question and Nate shrugs, organizing the piles according to my descriptions. "All I know is that..." I lean towards him, lowering my voice, "We old." We laugh and start wrapping the gifts. "Peter!" I shout and I hear a door open, and Peter shuffles into the living room, glancing at the work that was being done. I stand up and waddle over to him stupidly, earning a smirk from him, which replaces the frown he had been wearing since the store. "Would you feel better if I told you that I got you a present when you weren't looking?" I ask, sitting on top of the couch in front of him, my hands holding his.
"What? And I don't get a present?" Nate whines and I glance over at him. "And Peter, I guess you're getting a child's toy... or an electronic device." Nate holds up an odd-looking device that looked deadly... sort of.
"You already have enough gifts under the tree. And I have Peter's gift with me." I grin at Nate, who stuck his tongue out at me. "You act like a five-year-old."
Nate gets defensive. "Me? You act like the five-year-old!"
"Well, if I'm the five-year-old, then you're the three-year-old." Nate puffs up, holding his breath. "See!"
"You both are childish, done." Felix walks through the living room from his room to the kitchen.
"Hey!" Nate and I shout in unison and Peter chuckles, nuzzling my neck with his face, making me tingle.
"You're not mad anymore?" I whisper and he shakes his head. "Good, because you aren't getting your present until we get to Storybrooke." Peter makes a sound of protest and I laugh. "It's only customary to open gifts on the day, or at least Christmas Eve. Today is the Eve of Christmas Eve. It doesn't count."
"But I want my present!" Peter actually whines, which surprises me.
"Am I the only sane one in this house?" Felix questions from the doorway of the kitchen, bending down to pick up the ball of bags to put them in the pantry.
"No, 'cause this isn't a house."
"This is an apartment." Peter, Nate, and I say in unison and Felix just rolls his eyes.
"Don't you guys have to leave?" Felix asks and I glance at Peter's watch, frowning at the time.
"Yeah, but we need to finish wrapping and pack them into another suitcase."
"Well then, why are you just sitting there? Get your butt moving or you'll miss your flight." Felix orders and I cock an eyebrow at him.
"Yes, sir." I stand up and Peter holds onto my hands still, which brushed up against my coat pockets, which had his present in them. "Ah, sneaky Pan. No more hints." I let go of his hands and jump over the couch, racing around the living room as Peter chased me, Felix and Nate finishing the wrapping and packing.
"And she says I'm the three-year-old." Nate mumbles, turning to look at the tree before grabbing a candy cane off of it. "Ooo, candy!"
Felix sighs, "I live with a bunch of children."
"We heard that!"
