It's been a very long time since I've written any books here on Wattpad. I've been gone for a long time just understand that life is hard at times and at times you are faced with many obstacles that you will have to overcome. Since I've last written here I've graduated high school and started college. It was a very rocky start starting college and having to deal with many different health issues and other personal issues as well. I'm very sorry for long wait.

So crazy what time the world has been going through over the past few years that I've been gone. With so many deaths from shootings, viruses, etc. Please continue to be safe out in the world. Protect yourself and your loved ones any way you possibly can.

On the bright side I've made an appearance and written you guys a chapter. I hope you guys enjoy.

Happy reading!

Chapter 010 Truth be told

The next few days Xavier and I appeared to be ghosts staying at my brothers' place. The first day I went to Marshall's and Ross and bought us some essential clothing to get us by as I kept looking for work. I knew I needed to get a decent paying job in order to get off of Jose's' place and get a place of my own and start a life of our own. I went to downtown L.A and entered almost every office building I could find and filled out applications for any open position that fitted me best.

I wasn't the smartest cookie in my high school but I knew my stuff well enough to get into college with a few college credits from classes I took during my junior and senior year. Before marrying Stephen when we were only dating and before he asked the big question, I was blessed enough to graduate with my bachelors in business and a minor in interior designing. I so desperately wanted to open my own business one day, but unfortunately, that dream was cut short. Stephen did not approve of me working as a business owner nor working for any type of work office. For what reason, I don't know.

Maybe he thought I would've made enough money and leave him

Or maybe he thought I would've found someone else and left him

Or maybe he thought I would've gotten a good fuck buddy

but who really knows what he thought bottom line is if I had enough money I would've left him. Juan and his pets just forced me to work quicker and get out

I know is the idea of working in a restaurant was not up to me it was all his. The restaurant I worked at belongs to one of Stephens' friend, Edwin. It was a very popular place in New York, you had a variety of people, some were kind people but the majority were stuck up assholes who had nothing better to do with their lives. No matter the customer, I had to be kind, give them all a big smile and take all their shit that their shitty mouth put out just to get a decent tip. I hated it there, I worked long shifts except on Sundays when I did a part-time shift. Although all employees must have at least one mandatory day off Stephen convinced his friend to give me a short shift, it was under the books. I think it was Stephens way of knowing where and what I was up to so I wouldn't plot to escape.

Stephen was a business owner himself, that sick son of a bitch owned a bar called The Big Whiskey, he made enough money to support his family but he insisted of taking the majority of my money to pay for bills. He was already loaded before getting with me, the bar has been in his family for decades, it made a name for itself. If you ask me what he did and where he saves his money I wouldn't have an answer for you. I had no idea where his money went and I doubt I would've answer access to it.
