I have redone chapter eight and nine because I got a small idea that wouldn't have worked if I kept the old version. Hope you enjoy it. Please read this chapter to update yourself on the story.

You had been talking to the green-haired gentleman for a few hours now, appreciating every second. His personality was so bright and bubbly, a wonder to be around. In that time, you had learned that he was actually natively French, though he lived in Ireland most of his life. He was born mute and enjoyed making silent movies. At this point, you had almost forgotten he wasn't real. Almost. To be polite, you still asked to see them one day. His smile was worth it.

Now, the two of you were sitting back on the couch, legs intermingled. Steps came up at the front door, a jingle of keys following soon after. The door opened, a very tired Emily entering.

"Alright loser, I don't want to fight, I just had Mr. Stick-Up-His-Ass for an hour. Where are you."

"Over here!" you call, raising your arm over the back of the couch. Emily steps closer, throwing her purse on an armchair.

"Mmmkay, so. What have you found?" She asks, grabbing a large green apple from the bowl on the kitchen counter.

You look back at her puzzled, not understanding what she meant.

"Oh no." She groans, pinching the bridge of ner nose between bites. "You haven't tried looking up anything, huh?"

"Well sorry Mom I didn't know I had to do that!" you protest, chuckling at the loud sigh that ensued.

"Well then." She says, grabbing her bag again and heading out the door. "I'll be at the library, since someone" her tone is playful, and she's smiling even though her eyes look tired. "didn't do it. See ya later."

"Take a nap! You need it!" you call out to her, not wanting Emily to make herself faint overworking herself. It's happened before. Multiple times.

The low sound of the door clicking shut brought you back to the company you were having.

JJ looked... upset.

'You still don't think I'm real?'

Your heart broke in half at his expression, but you didn't know what to say. "...I-I'm sorry?"

A tear fell down his face, and he was quick to wipe it away, but not quick enough. "Don't cry..." you cooed. "Th-think from my perspective. They can't see you. Please... I didn't mean to make you cry..."

He looked away quickly, his mouth set in a stern line. You opened your mouth to say something, but before you could, your phone began ringing.

"Yeah?" you said, wanting to get it over with. A deep voice spoke from the other side, velvety and honey-like.

"Is Jameson here?"
