Jake's POV
I was in complete shock. I didn't know what to do or even say to her! Should I be happy to see her?
She was still staring at me.
"Okay don't freak out. Just say Hi or something." I said to myself. I could feel sweat starting to form on my forehead.
"H-H-Hey Jessica. Totally didn't expect you to be here." Wow that sounded really weird.
"Oh. I didn't have time to tell you, but I'm here on a business trip." She said simply.
"Oh that's nice. I happen to be on one to!" I said a bit to excitedly. She giggled a bit, but it sounded like a sad giggle. I noticed the redness in her eyes and how she used makeup to cover up the puffiness around get eye from probably crying last night.
I felt really bad for her. She's been through so much, I just wanted to hug her and keep her I'm my arms where it's always safe. Yet, she was strong enough to put one big fat smile on her face and fool everybody into thinking she was the happiest person in the world.
"Uhm I was just going down for breakfast with Kyle. Would you like to join us?" She said.
I smiled "I would love too.".
"Great! Come on we'll wait for Kyle downstairs." She said and I followed.
We went downstairs and picked out table and decided to wait for Kyle to eat. After 20 minutes of chit chatter Kyle had finally showed. I was really nervous to meet Jessica's brother. I mean not that he was scary looking, but the thought that he might know I'm a celebrity.
"Sorry I'm late. Business calls." Kyle said while taking a seat.
"Kyle this is Jake. He's an accountant." Jessica said introducing us.
"Jess you're crazy! That's no accountant. He's a-" I cut him off before he could say more.
"Famous accountant." I said blankly. Kyle looked confused. I was starting to sweat a lot.
"Yeah. He's a famous accountant." Kyle said suspiciously. "You know Jess he comes out in that one tv show. I can't quite put my finger on it though. What was it called again Jake?" He said and gave an evil grin. Jessica turned to me and looked curious.
"Uhm it's called Unexpectedly Famous." I said silently. The name sounded stupid. Jessica smiled. "Well I'm going to have to catch up then."
"Oh Jess. But you missed it! Jake was on the season finale. The show ended 2 months ago." Kyle said.
"Oh." She said simply. I looked at Kyle and I saw the death of me in his eyes. I knew would have to explain everything to him after this.
Breakfast went on with Jessica telling stories about her family and also getting stares from Kyle occasionally. Yet, time seemed to fly and I didn't I wanted to spend more time with her.
"Hey Jess, what are you doing later on?" I asked hoping the answer was nothing.
"Well..." She looked down at her watch. "Actually nothing." She said and smiled. I felt my heart smiled as well.
"Great! I want to show a really neat museum they just opened around here! It'll be great!" I said excitedly. It made her giggle which I enjoyed everytime she did.
We cleaned and walked towards the exit. "So I'll pick you up around 3." I said turning to her. "Sure." She said an gave me a hug. I took advantage and held her tight and memorized the smell of hair, which was vanilla scent.
We parted and went our separate ways.
